Q. I recently downloaded V for Vendetta, and I would like to put it on my phone, which is a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The file is currently in a .avi format, and there's another copy that is a .wmv file. I've tried using the USB cable and copying it to my Movies, but it doesn't work?
lol i feel dumb.
A. That file type might not work, but file conversion is a whole different topic.
To get the file on your phone in the first place, grab a free WiFi transfer utility. Just search "wifi transfer" or similar on the Google Play store. You'll have a few decent options, and they're all pretty much the same.
From there, it's easy enough. Just open the app, make sure your WiFi is on, hit "Start", "Go", etc. and type the IP address and password (if there is one) in and you're in a file explorer right there on your PC wirelessly, which rocks. Just upload it via right-click option, drag and drop, or however that particular app does it.
Beware, though. Some of those utilities have file size caps so if it says the movie is too large, try a different app.

How to put pictures from Samsung Galaxy to computer?
Q. I'm trying to transfer images from my Samsung Galaxy S-somethingsomething to my computer by plugging my usb in, but when I plug it in (on my Macbook pro) nothing happens. Nothing pops up, I can't find it in finder, it's like it doesnt do anything. How can I put the photos on my computer using my usb. Please dont suggest email because surprise surprise that doesnt work either.
A. you need to mount the memory on the phone after you connect the cable...there is going to be a pop up on the phone itself, after you mount, you will get a popup from mac
you also should be able to send them via e-mail...no idea what you're doing wrong with that
also an easier way would be to download an app called "Cheetah Sync", then download the same app to your mac, and it can automatically transfer your files over your network after you set it up properly, which is rather easy
hope it helps
