How much does a kindle keyboard cost?

Q. I was looking on amazon. I don't understand, though, that the kindle keyboard 3G is $189.00 but the kindle keyboard 3G with special offers is $139.00. I'm thinking of ordering one tomorrow but could you please get back to me soon?:) Thanks for the help

A. A kindle keyboard 3g with special offers (ads) brand new costs $140.
A kindle keyboard 3g without special offers brand new is $189.
A kindle keyboard no 3g (Wi-fi) is with special offers brand new is $139.
A kindle keyboard no 3g (Wi-fi) without special offers brand new is around $99.
There are some differences that you might consider. If you don't mind ads (which by the way only come up when the device is mostly off so it will not affect your reading) it will probably be cheaper with the one with ads because it is cheaper. Keep in mind that these are the prices for BRAND NEW items, you can find used versions on Amazon and other sites for much cheaper. On Amazon the used ones can be found for $80 and up!

Q. I'm getting one for my birthday and wanted to know if I should get the 3g or just the Kindle Keyboard. And one more question, can you borrow books from your library on a kindle keyboard 3g?

A. It depends on the version you get. My Kindle Keyboard 3g does not have ads, I paid $189 for it. However, there is one fore $139 that does have ads. I believe the Keyboard is now $159 without ads...

Q. I am asking this for my mom. She has a Kindle Keyboard and wants to start over with it kind of and just delete everything and restart it. I am wondering how you do that there was no reset that I could find of any sort and she needs a way to just get everything off and start over

A. Start the Kindle. From the Home screen, press Menu. Select Settings. Press Menu again. Select Reset to Factory Defaults. It will reboot. She'll have to input her username and password again, but it should be completely like new.
