Q. I recently got a Kindle Paperwhite and a 50 dollar gift card to Amazon Kindle books. I set up the 50 dollar card and tried to purchase a book from my Kindle but it said there is no valid credit card. (I don't have a credit card. I intend to use just the gift card.) What do I need to do?
A. It's probably like Itunes, you need to give them a credit card number to make an account but you don't necessarily have to use it, it's just in case you use gift cards and go over the price of the gift card, the rest of the money will be charged to credit.
where can i download free books for my kindle paperwhite?
Q. currently i use my iPhone to read and get free books from epubbud.com which gives me books you normally have to pay for,for freedom getting the kindle paperwhite and i know that first of all i can't use the internet straight like that off the device and second the books don't transfer.is there i way i can get paid books for free on my kindle?if i have to download it to my computer thats fine but id really like it if you could explain.thanks!
A. Why not just download free Kindle books offered by Amazon Kindle? Most free books recommended by epubbud are free offered on Amazon as well.
Since you have an internet connection on your iPhone, you can simply set up a hotspot on your iPhone and then make your Paperwhite connect to the hotspot (wifi).

Kindle Paperwhite book downloads and Wifi questions?
Q. I want to buy my mom a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas. She does not have Wifi, only cable internet.
If I buy the Paperwhite, download books on it, can she pull up the books she wants and read them without needing Wifi? I can download books from Amazon here at home and then send the Paperwhite to her. Anyway, I just need to know.
Thank you!
A. There're two ways to get books on the Kindle Paperwhite, if you don't have Wi-Fi. You can either buy and download books on your computer, then copy to the Kindle via USB cable. Or you can simply pay more to get the Kindle Paperwhite 3G model, which allows you to download books directly through the free 3G network, so you don't need to make it through WiFi.
