Q.
A. Samsung Galaxy tablet
The new Ipad or Samsung Galaxy Note tablet?
Q. the new Samsung seems amazing
A. Err.... If I were you, I would have bought the new Samsung Galaxy Note tablet. Well, I myself have an Ipad 2, but since Ipad 3 is just a marginal improvement to Ipad 2, it shouldn't matter to you whether i own the new Ipad or not. I have used my ipad for about two years but find it extremely boring and restrictive with the same grid of icons. I want to be more productive with my tablet by being able to create my own personal content and personalise it to my own preference, instead of just using it to watch movies, play games and download apps that are largely gimmicky and impractical. (Many useful apps are paid). Sometimes, I want to create beautiful drawings with my iPad , but I couldn't do that with just my fingers. If you want a seamless user experience that allows you to consume content such as movies, web browsing and games, then the Ipad 3 would be better for you due to its intuitive , high-resolution retina display as well as its large variety of apps in its app store( more than Samsung Note). But, if you are the kind of person like me who is interested in creating content such as artwork and video editing, then the Note would be suitable for you due to its build-in Photoshop and stylus support that allows input with high precision. Its multitasking ability to split screens is another nifty implementation for college students who have the habit of taking down notes while watching videos, lectures etc. And also, if you are the kind of person who enjoys high level of personalization and control over your device, then the Android Ice Cream Sandwich should work well for you. If not, choose iOS if you want a tablet purely for entertainment( like reading book or watching movies) cos Android Ice Cream can stutter at times.
All in all, I am not a tech guru, so please seek further advice from online reviewers....
which is a better tablet? ( ex.the Ipad 2, Samsung Galaxy, etc)?
Q. Ok while i was at Best Buy today with my cousin shopping for a new laptop i ran across a the tablets. I was playing with the Samsung Galaxy first then i moved on to the Ipad 2. I fell in love with them both and now i dont know which to choose. the salesperson who was helping us said she had the Ipad 2 and she loves it but said its really a matter of personal preference.
if anyone has the ipad or the samsung galaxy or any other tablet, your advice/input would be very much appreciated. what are the pros and cons of each. and do you really like your tablet? i really want a tablet now.
im mainly getting it for entertainment(browse, surf the net, movies,) that kinda stuff for like long drives or something and to possibly use it for textbooks so i wont to lug around those heavy things.
A. Galaxy Tab 10.1 vs Apple iPad 2
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the lightest (1.25 lbs) of the big-screen tablets and is the thinnest (0.336 inches) overall. Like with the iPad, however, thinness comes at the expense of SD, USB, and HDMI ports: Tab and iPad have none. Choose the Galaxy Tab over iPad if you love its light weight and thinness but want an Android tablet rather than an iOS (iPad) tablet. Choose the Tab 10.1 if you (a) prefer its 1280x800 TFT display more than iPad 2's 1024x768 IPS display; (b) want a better rear camera (3 MP) than iPad 2's lousy 0.7 MP camera; (c) believe in Android's more open approach to app development and acquisition; or (d) want Flash, which does not work on iPad 2.
Otherwise, go with the IPad 2, which has a higher degree of fit-and-finish than its competition. Like iPhones vs other smart phones, iPods vs other MP3 players, or Macs vs PC's, iPads are widely regarded as being more refined and polished than other tablets. iPad also has a large and refined App Store (although Android Market is closing the gap).
