The good news is that both phones are equipped with features somewhat similar, and if the decision could lead to an aspect of the design. Well, would not a fair comparison when the detail built into each phone port can be seen. So we will check the specifications below.

Although the Galaxy Gio says that users of a 3.15 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and 2048 x 1536 pixels, with Geo-tagging Samsung Galaxy GIO
Display:
Samsung seems that the same technology in the construction of two rooms where, as Galaxy uses a TFT screen, 3.5-inch capacitive with 16 million colors, 320Ã480 pixels measure. Measuring Galaxy Gio offers a slightly smaller screen with a touchscreen TFT of 3.2 inches with 16 million colors, 320 x 480 pixels.
Performance:
What would your reaction be if it is confirmed that both phones come with a 800 MHz processor? Everything is clear that these are the phones with standard software applications and support for your specific needs to perform. However, the Android 2.2 (Froyo) installed in a smooth and pleasant on both phones, but is also determined by the type used in the processor. The Galaxy uses a 800 MHz ARM 11 processor GPU and 200 with the Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset Adreno but Galaxy Gio is no more information. The ad tells us only that the use of a 800 MHz processor. And so it is difficult to compare the performance of a mobile phone.

What can we say if both phones are really designed to sit in the same market. The Galaxy sports 158MB disk space, so the Galaxy Gio. Blackberry Curve or Samsung Galaxy Ace?
Q. Hey, Im just wondering which I should get for christmas. I dont know whether the screen on the blackberry might seem kinda small because I usually get touchscreens? Which is better,in your opinion? Thanks:)
A. Samsung S5830EUBLK Galaxy Ace Android Powered Smartphone is my first real touch phone and first exposure to Android therefore I am still learning all of its tricks, charms and flaws. I am quite pleased with the design, feel and functions. I must confess, I'm a Samsung fan but I moved to this from a Nokia E71 which was rock solid functional with excellent battery life but the online experience was a bit clunky and limited by the screen size. Now I have far more screen real estate and online connection is seamlessly smooth with no pauses to ask permission etc.
HTC explorer vs Samsung galaxy ace?
Q. I want to get a new phone on PAYG for a round £100 and i dont know which to decide between these two. I think the explorer looks like a better phone but i'm worried about the screen size! please give opinions and reasons. thanks!
A. The HTC Explorer is 102.8 x 57.2 x 12.9 mm while the Samsung Galaxy Ace is 112.4 x 59.9 x 11.5 mm. The HTC Explorer weighs 108 grams while the Samsung Galaxy Ace is on the higher side weighing in at 113 grams
The HTC Explorer has a 3.2 inch whereas the Galaxy Ace has a 3.5 inch screen, The HTC Explorer has a more sturdy feel and much superior build capacity when compared to the Galaxy Ace.
Display
The HTC Explorer comes with a TFT capacitive touchscreen of 3.2 inches with a pixel density of 180ppi while the Samsung Galaxy Ace has the same TFT capacitive touchscreen of 3.5 inches and has a screen density of 165 ppi. Both the HTC Explorer and the Galaxy Ace has a moderate screen resolution of 320Ã480 pixels which looks better on the Ace because of its bigger screen size.
Camera:
The HTC Explorer has a mere 3.15 MP camera which is quite common in budget phones whereas the Samsung Galaxy Ace has a 5 MP camera which is pretty good considering the price of the phone. The HTC Explorer has a resolution of 2048Ã1536 pixels which is not far behind the 2592Ã1944 pixel resolution of the Samsung Galaxy Ace.
Both the phones also haven an inbuilt face detection to go along with their respective cameras. Both the phones do not have HD recording capabilities and shoot video at 480p.
Another common factor is that, there is no front facing or secondary camera on both these phones and hence they cannot be used along with third-party apps such as Google Talk, Skype, etc.
Winner: Samsung Galaxy Ace( 5MP camera )
Memory:
The HTC Explorer has just 90 MB of internal memory but can be extended upto 32 GB using a microSD card slot while the Samsung Galaxy Ace has 158 MB of internal memory and can be extended to 32 GB just like the HTC Explorer.
Winner : Samsung Galaxy Ace
Connectivity:
The HTC Explorer has GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 bands and HSDPA 900 / 2100 bands which gives maximum speeds upto 80 kbps and 236.8 kbps respectively.
Both the phones have WiFi in them and support popular Wi-fi bands, compliant to the 802.11 standards. 802.11 b,g and n are supported and the WiFi Hotspot feature on them is also available on both the devices. To know how to enable Wifi Hotspot via tethering, follow these instructions here.
GPS is available on both the phones with A-GPS support for both. The HTC Explorer has the latest version of Bluetooth, v3.0 with A2DP support whereas the Samsung Galaxy Ace has only the common Bluetoothv2.1 with support for A2DP.
Just like any other Budget Android phone, these two phones also have microsUSBv2.0 for Data Transfer.
Operating System and UI:
The HTC Explorer comes with Gingerbread 2.3.5 coupled with the HTC Sense UI, it is really worth your money. Whereas the Samsung Galaxy Ace comes with only the previous version of Android, 2.2 or better known as the Froyo. The GingerBread update for the Galaxy Ace hasnât come out in all regions and has been out only for some variants of the Ace.
The HTC Sense is definitely fun to use and has lots of small add-ons everywhere while Samsungâs TouchWiz UI has refreshed iconography, user changes here and there and some slight improvements to the User Experience
Winner : HTC Explorer
Battery and Processor
The HTC Explorer has a 1230 mAh battery while the Samsung Galaxy Ace has a 1350 mAh battery. The HTC Explorer on 2G, has a talktime of upto 7 h and 485 hours of standby time and a whopping 7 hours of talktime and 445 hours of standby time on 3G. This is really great considering the fact that even high-end phones have lower talk and standby times when compared to this. While the Samsung Galaxy Ace has a talktime of upto 11 hours on 2G and a reasonable 6 hours on 3G which is pretty much ok for its price.
Both the HTC Explorer and the Samsung Galaxy Ace carry only bare machinery. The HTC explorer has a 600 MHz Cortex A5 processor and supporting it is a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7225A Chipset. The Samsung Galaxy Ace has a more powerful processor when compared to the Explorer. It has a 800 MHz ARM 11 with a Qualcomm MSM7227 Chipset.
600MHz on the HTC Explorer is just about enough power for the apps youâre likely to want to use but if you are more of a gamer then, the Samsung galaxy Aceâs 800 MHz with its Adreno 200 GPU must be good enough for you.
Winner: Samsung Galaxy Ace
Conclusion
The HTC Explorer would be the better pick of the two, considering the Sense UI which is much more user friendly and packs quite a few additions to the User Interface, and also comes with a better build quality. The Galaxy Ace from Samsung, has a better camera, of 5 Megapixels while HTCâs 3.2 Megpaixel lens also does its job neatly.
Unless youâre not very keen on the camera, there is nothing the HTC Explorer lacks from the Galaxy Ace. And considering the price point of both the devices, it would be a better choice to go ahead with the HTC Explorer, as it is slightly cheaper than the Galaxy Ace too.
