Q. I planned to buy a tablet. But I couldn't select in between ipad 2 and Samsung galaxy tab 10.1. Which is better for the purpose of ebook reading, net browsing and documentary work?
A. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the lightest (1.25 lbs) of the big-screen tablets and is the thinnest (0.336 inches) overall. Like with the iPad, however, thinness comes at the expense of SD, USB, and HDMI ports: Tab and iPad have none. Choose the Galaxy Tab over iPad if you love its light weight and thinness but want an Android tablet rather than an iOS (iPad) tablet. Choose the Tab 10.1 if you (a) prefer its 1280x800 TFT display more than iPad 2's 1024x768 IPS display; (b) want a better rear camera (3 MP) than iPad 2's lousy 0.7 MP camera; (c) believe in Android's more open approach to app development and acquisition; or (d) want Flash, which does not work on iPad 2.
Otherwise, go with the IPad 2, which has a higher degree of fit-and-finish than its competition. Like iPhones vs other smart phones, iPods vs other MP3 players, or Macs vs PC's, iPads are widely regarded as being more refined and polished than other tablets. iPad also has a large and refined App Store (although Android Market is closing the gap).
Motorola XOOM, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or iPad 2?
Q. im stuck deciding between these 3 tablets, i want answers from ppl tht have either of these, NO FANBOYS
A. I have all three... I'm keeping the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and iPad 2 - both are fantastic and I'd recommend both to people. The Xoom on the other hand... is going on eBay - has a washed out screen, it's heavy, and it's thick.
So I'd say between the GT and iPad for sure. Which one to get should be based on which platform you prefer. Have you tried either? If not, you really should go into a store and test both to see which OS you like the best. iPad 2 is giong to have more apps, but Android has been growing fast and has enough to make most happy. The GT runs Honeycomb, which is a very young version of Google's Android that's otpimized for tablets. It's different from the smartphone version of Android. That means more bugs, glitches and less apps that are optimized to use the larger screen. Google plans to release Android Ice Cream Sandwich later this year that will combine the smartphone and tablet experience together (kind of like how Apple did this for the iPhone and iPad). The iPad is going to give you a more simple, easier to use experience that's very polished and fluid. However, iOS doesn't offer flash content and you really have to like living in Apple's world with iTunes and having to sync to a computer and all that. Android is more customizable and open. Also, I believe the ratio of free to paid apps is switched (Android has more free, Apple has more paid)
I like the Galaxy Tab 10.1, but you should definitely watch as many videos on the software as you can and also check them out in person before making the purchase. They're definitely different experiences. http://www.smartkeitai.com/touchwiz-ux-on-samsung-galaxy-tab-10-1-video-review/
Sony Xperia Tablet Z vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1?
Q. Which one is great overall?
A. Xperia Z is the better one but way too expensive. If you have a budget and you specially want all that speed then get the Xperia tablet. Otherwise I suggest you take the best bang for buck and enjoy saving over 100 bucks by getting the Galaxy Tab 2.
Galaxy Tab 2 would provide you with all the features you want from a tablet and has a great overall performance.
See these comments from an actual user of Galaxy Tab 2 on performance and quality:

Whereas the Xperia Tab is just more powerful and thus expensive.
