Q. I am wondering whether to get the iPod Touch 5th generation or the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 when it comes out. (Samsung one is already out)
I own a ipod nano 2nd gene. been having some problems with it so i need to upgrade, and while i upgrade i would like some extra cool stuff; apps, gps, camera, wifi, etc.
Reason why I am asking so early is that I am a kid (15) who has been thought if you want something, you have to earn it. got awesome parents btw :) so i need to start saving now.
I can earn money, got a RL job, so the price tags of each device really is not the biggest problem. (Samsung is $179 Apple's is $300)
other things that worry me is, the ipods charging docks, tidbits, etc are gonna change into a new format so finding cheap accessories is gonna be difficult while on the other hand the galaxy player seems like its playing catch up with Apple.
So which one is best for me to get?
*note: I dont know how to give 10 points out but if i knew i would give it to you.
A. Well i think that if you have the money and are willing to deal with the problems people are having with Apples new usb, then go for the ipod. I have a 3rd gen iPod touch and I can't say that I don't love it. I have tons of apps, and if you're able to unlock it (Jailbreaking it) then it's that much better. I would not recommend jail breaking your 5th gen iPod at all right now. It's still kinda new so some softwares could screw up your iPod. Now the 4.2 uses an older version of android, and it has a 1 GHz single core processor, not too impressive compared to what you could get in the iPod 5th gen. if you love gaming and apps on your music player, go for the iPod. if you really just want to focus on packing in as much music as possible, then go for the 4.2. it has a micro SD slot, so you can always add more memory if you run out. From what I saw in an unboxing video, the 4.2 isn't the most responsive device. If you swipe the screen to get to the next one, you will notice some lag. The iPod has a much sturdier build and will last you for a while. You'd want to save up a lot of money though cause to get the bigger screen on the iPod touch, you'll have to buy either the 32 or 64 gig versions. I'm not gonna lie, I love Android products...but I'm going to have to side with apple on this one.
