Why isn't my Samsung Galaxy S connecting to WiFi?

Q. I'm able to find different signals and I see my apartment's WiFi. It's the one that I'm using for my laptop. I put the password in and it says it's unable to connect. What's wrong?

Also, the GPS is not very accurate. It's half a mile off in Google Maps for Mobile. Are these things normal?

A. On the WiFi are you sure the password was correct? They are case sensitive and it's easy to make a typo entering passwords on a touchscreen keyboard.
Does the phone connect to other wifi networks?
You could try temporarily turning off the encryption or changing the encryption type used on the wifi to see if it could then connect.

Basically try different things to see if it's the phone or the network that is causing the issue. And if it's that specific network is it the settings used or some incompatibility between the access point and the phone.

For the GPS accuracy are you sure that was using GPS not cell towers? That is the sort of error that you would expect from cell tower positioning rather than GPS.
Were you outside when you were trying? GPS doesn't work too well indoors.
Also there has recently been an update for the phone that improved the GPS performance, make sure you have that. How to get it depends on the exact version of the phone you have and the network you are on.

What apps are the best for Samsung Galaxy S 3? Which ones should I download?
Q.

A. Some apps that I have are:
*Zedge(free)- This has a lot of free wallpapers (live and not), ringtones, and notification tones

*SwiftKey3 Keyboard (free 30 day trial/lifetime 3.99 purchase)-a great keyboard that oredicts what you type by learning your style of typing, themes,, very easy to use

*Where's my droid (free, or pro paid version)-lets you find your phone by making it make a siren sound by texting it a key phrase even if it's on silent you can find it, or find it on a gps if it is stolen.

*Any flashlight app is good too, I have "flashlight" which is also free

*PicsArt-(free)-Edit photos, filter/distort/etc., collage photos, or draw on photos.

*Phone Overheat(free)-in case you watch a lot of videos or play apps and multitask, this will alert you if your phone battery is getting to hot

*QR Droid(free)-lets you scan QR codes and normal barcodes then look them up with ease

*Google Goggles(free)-Scan foreign text and traslate it, scan famous paintings/sites and read about them, scan logos too

*Dictionary.com(free)-you know what that is, it also allows access to thesaurus

*SetCPU for root users(1.99)- if you have rooted your phone this allows you to change your CPU speed to make your phone faster or to save battery

*SoundHound(free, or a stupid 5.99 version that is not worth it)-way better than Shazam, recognizes music playing or being sung and gives you lyrics, title, artist, ticket info, artsist bio, etc.

*Where's my water(free limited version, or .99 full version)-Very very fun game, it does take quite a bit of space and battery but, whatever :)

*Netflix(free)- If you have a netflix this allows access to the instant queue and you can watch instantly from your phone, this also take up battery so make sure you have your phone connected, and wifi available if you have limited data.

*ColorNote Notepad Notes To Do (free)- very helpful for making a checklist and you can make widgets of a certain thing a put it on a home screen, and put note into your calendar. taking notes is okay but I think there are other apps a lot better for taking notes like Evernote (free)

*And Lastly TEMPLE RUN(free)- Everyones gotta love this game

Hope I helped you find some good apps :)

Q. Is anything compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" yet?
I talked to Samsung and they said NOTHING is compatible.

Is that the lie, or is this?

I asked them in particular about that product and they said it wasn't compatible. So who's lying?

A. seems you can post e wonder your question at their customer service

What's the loudest android phone?
Q. I'm looking for a new droid, preferably with a keyboard. It cannot be 4g, and its gatta have great built in speakers. Also is it possible to buy and replace the stock speakers on a phone? Thanks in advance.

A. Some in the Samsung Galaxy S II family will vibrate your hand they are so loud. There are apps that will increase the volume of stock speakers and no it is not a good idea to try and replace phone speakers. A better idea would be to buy a phone/mp3 player case that has integrated speakers. iLuv makes a case like this with stereo speakers and a belt clip.
