Q. Hey!
My mum got a free Samsung Galaxy Gio from her phone operator (In Sweden), but since she just bought another smartphone, she decided to give it away. It's from the operator 3.se, they wouldn't unlock it so that I could use it in Denmark, where I live. However, I managed to unlock it by myself. (Yes, I know that this annulls the warranty, but since the phone was free, no money has been lost anyway).
Now I've only got a single problem; This phone came with a lot of built-in apps from the 3-operator, such as 3 mobile TV, 3 Music and a bunch of other apps that I never will use. They're taking up space on my phone's memory, I constantly get notifications that the iternal phone storage is getting low. I cannot move them to the SD card and I cannot uninstall it.
Is there ANY way to work my way around this and delete these apps?
My device is rooted, by the way.
Bying a bigger SD card wont help me in this case. These apps have nothing to do with the SD card, they're on the phone itself, not the SD card. However, I was planning to buy a new SD card. It doesn't solve my problem though. I want these bastards gone ;)
A. Yes you can. There is an app called titanium backup (a must for any rooted phone) that lets you delete system apps. It is also the best backup app available for it lets you backup and restore individual apps and all the data that app has also(save files, custom settings, ect). I'm not sure if the free version can do this but im pretty sure it can. In any case i would recommend flashing a custom rom if you feel up to it.
