A. You should be able to plug the iPad to your desktop/notebook (via USB). Then iTunes should pop-up and ask if you want to download & install the 4.2 iOS update. Click yes, and follow the remaining prompts, then the software should update your iPad to 4.2 iOS. Any add'l problems, you should check out www.apple.com for help.
How fast do you think iPad 4 will sell out?
Q. There's no way I can pre-order the iPad 4 by Friday. Do you think pre-orders and units will sell out fast? When do you think the product will become available for purchase again if it does? I understand that the iPad 3 sold out fast and people had to wait to purchase an iPad after it sold out last year.
A. Not really, because it isnt that much of an update from the iPad 3 for people to go rushing to buy it. Plus, the iPad mini was the real star of todays keynote.
Can I Play Movies On iPad 4 Running Off An External Hard Drive?
Q. Is there a way (maybe using the Lightning To USB Camera Adapter) that would allow me to play movies on iPad 4 running off an external hard drive?
A. Only if:
-You have the adaptor
-Your iPad is jailbroken
-You have a Cydia app called iFile
-The filesystem format of the external drive is FAT32, FAT, exFAT or HFS and it is self-powered
-The filetype of the movie is correct
