Q. I usually know phones pretty well, and while trying to remove the default messaging icon on the Samsung Stratosphere for Verizon, I haven't a single clue how. My aunt is new to smart phones, and likes Handcent. I've made Handcent the default for text messaging but I'd like to add it to the shortcuts on the bottom instead of regular messaging. Please help, thanks! :)
(also, long holding to remove doesn't work for these default shortcuts)
A. How to Add and Remove Primary Shortcuts on Samsung Captivate
You can change your primary shortcuts with the exception of the APPLICATIONS and HOME shortcuts.

1Tap HOME button to activate the Home screen.
2 Touch APPLICATIONS to display your current applications.
3 Touch MENU button > VIEW TYPE.
4 Tap CUSTOMIZABLE GRID. A green circle will appear next to the option.
5 Touch MENU button > EDIT.
6 Scroll through the list and locate your desire application.
7 Tap and hold the on-screen icon > drag it over the primary shortcut that you want to replace.
8 The new primary shorcut then appears at the bottom of the screen.
9 Touch Menu button > SAVE.
10 Tap HOME button to return to the Home screen.
11 The new primary shortcut will now appear on all Home screens.
12 Note: When a primary shortcut is removed, it will then appear as an option in the Application menu.
How can i get my samsung instinct colored so it is pink?
Q. I just saw best buy online and see there coming out with a pink samsung instinct, and i want to know how i can get mine colored pink also, what should i do? Does anyone from sprint know what i can do?
A. When I had sprint a couple years ago, you could buy different color outer shells for the phones. But im not sure if they would for the Instinct since its a touch screen and probably harder to do.
Maybe go online or to an accessories store and buy a skin? they are pretty cheap
will a data cable for a samsung A737 also charge the phone when it is hooked up?
Q. I have ordered some accessories and one thing that is included is a usb cable, data cable. I really would only use it for charging the phone from a lap top if needed. Will it do that?
A. Should. I have a samsung E840 and its data cable does charge the phone when hooked up
