Q. Ummm , I have a Telstra Indy and I was just wondering what phone I should get to upgrade it , I was thinking a smart phone , maybe Samsung galaxy ace or Samsung galaxcy y , the galaxcy ace is a bit out of my price range .... What do you think ?
A. i was thinking of the samsung ace but stopped after seeing the specs for the
htc explorer a310e better 35% cheaper phone has hsdpa 14.4mbits (iphone 4s)
speed 850/2100mhz vs 7mbits, ARMV7 cortex processor (around 2X faster
than samsung) not armv6 which means armv7/android 2.3 OS and up runs
adobe flash, sim free/unlocked versions no contracts to sign/use other gsm sims
(amazing price for this phone it should be on a contract/locked but it's not).
and quad band phone should work everywhere for phone calls and even the internet
hsdpa 850/2100 frequency 850 is used in north america, 2100 in europe/australia
internet should work in most places. drawbacks: smaller screen 3.2inch vs 3.5 , less
internal storage 90mb vs 158mb, little less resolution camera 3.15MP auto focus vs
5MP but they say it still does take good pics. you say the galaxy ace 1 is out of your
price range i think you haven't shopped around at other internet shops they sell them
cheaper and without a contract same with htc explorer. the only thing that is
comparably better to the htc explorer they say the galaxy ace 2 is coming out soon
that should be even better than the htc explorer (dual core processor) no release date
and price yet (they're probably waiting for the chipset prices to drop to offer it affordably).
Cell phone question ? !?
Q. So i was looking around amazon
& saw this phone & thinking about asking my dad if i can get one because i broke my other phone about 4 months ago , but the thing is i never seen anyone with this phone ! this phone is called BLU D510 STUDIO 5.3 btw ..
is this phone really different from like t-mobile , at&t & all that ? the brand /company is called "blu" are people gonna make fun of me for getting this phone ?
I do think this is a really nice looking phone & saw reviews on youtube . What does " Unlocked Android Quad Band Dual SIM Smartphone" mean ? i know that unlocked phones are when you get to use any sim cards for it but i technically dont know how it works . Is the company like virgin mobile or boost mobile ? cause i dont like phones like that .
Heres the link to it : http://www.amazon.com/D510-Unlocked-Android-Smartphone-5-3-Inch/dp/B007MOL3LW/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1345004046&sr=1-2-fkmr0&keywords=blu+Dsio+studio+5.3
I just dont understand why such a good looking & good reviewed phone has such a good price . .
A. I work on a lot of cell phones and have never encountered "Blu." Chances are is that it's a Chinese company that may use popular parts from a more popular manufacturer, like Samsung or Pantech (more likely). It may seem nice but there are things to consider.
If it's an off brand, expect off brand support. You won't see any software updates, forget about a good warranty, and customer service will be nonexistent. Sure, it'll work on AT&T or T-Mobile but they won't help you if you run into problems. And believe me, there will be problems.
Your best bet is to get an older device that has good reviews. Go to Amazon or eBay and look for single-core Android phones that did well but are a little dated. The Samsung Galaxy series is still a great phone and you can grab one for sub $200 with some searching. HTC, Motorola, and LG all have good phones.
which is best dual sim mobile? Vid'con, micromax, LG or Samsg?
Q.
A. Samsung I9000 Galaxy S
After using this phone for a week, I've fallen in love with it.
- Interface is very snappy.
- The screen is incredible. Very bright and the colours are outstanding, and just the perfect size.
- The AllShare app for playing content from a UPnP server is nice. At home, I can store my entire collection of music and videos and play whichever I want.
