Q. Is there any way i can purchase and audio book on kindle 3 and be able to read along with it?
A. I think you would have to buy both versions and likely they would not be exactly the same.
Of course you could read a long with the text to speech feature if you get from kindle store or in .mobi format
maybe the .mobi version of a http://www.gutenberg.org/ and the same book in audio on http://librivox.org/
How can you get audio books on to a kindle?
Q. I have been told you can get audio books on to the amazon kindles but nobody I know can explain simply how to get them on there or a simple way download them, any ideas? thanks (:
A. The only way to download them directly to the Kindle is if you get them from Audible.com. To sideload .MP3 files to it, connect it via USB then drag and drop audiobook files to the Audible folder, music files to the Music folder. Don't forget to safely eject before disconnecting.
What are the differences between the nook and kindle?
Q. so far what i know is that the nook has the lending a book feature and color. the kindle has text to speech. what I don't know is if they both have a web browser or if the nook has any audio books. Also can either of them download files from email?
Oh and one other feature i was curious about was if they have back lights. the Nook color looks like it does but im not too sure. thanks
A. Kindle requires books be from their store, or be converted to their format.
Kindle can read books to you, if the publisher hasn't been disabled that for that title (they condsider an audiobook another work, and Text-To-Speech an infringement of that other work).
You can play Audible in the Kindle though. I wouldn't doubt Nook can do that.
At one time, for a fee, you could email certain format text files to your Kindle.
AFAIK Amazon has, or is working on a lending feature.
