Now the iPad mini compared with Samsung Galaxy Note 2 series N7100, which should I get?

Q. Recently, the hot topic of iPad mini and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 series N7100 talked by people. I want buy one of them. which is better, which should I buy?

A. They are really not comparable since the IPad Mini is a Tablet (the outdated IPad 2 shrunken down into a smaller case with IOS 6) where as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 series is a phone. You are getting more for your money since getting the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Series since you get...

1) Much faster (1980(Galaxy Note II) vs IPad 2 benchmark of 755 [Note: IPad Mini is basically an IPad 2 shrunken down])
2) Micro SD Card Slot for Memory Expansion
3) A 5.5 inch screen vs 7.9 Inch on the IPad Mini.
4) NFC (Near Field Communication (Not on IPad Mini)
5 ) 8MP and 1.9MP cameras vs (IPad Mini: 5MP and 720p cameras) Note: 1MP = 1024p so 720p is less than 1MP.
6) Up to 35 Hours talk time and 980 Hours of Standby time (IPad Mini only has 10 hours of battery life, not a phone so that is the only comparison)
7) 267 ppi (Pixels per Inch) vs 162 ppi on IPad Mini

a better comparison would be the IPhone 5 to the Samsung Galaxy Note since the IPhone 5 is Apple's Latest phone, here is the comparison there...

1) the ability to make phone calls
2) faster (1980(Galaxy Note II) vs IPhone 5 benchmark of 1601)
3) Micro SD Card Slot for Memory Expansion (Not on Phone 5)
4) A 5.5 inch screen vs 4 inch on the IPhone 5.
5) NFC (Near Field Communication (Not on IPhone 5)
6 ) 8MP and 1.9MP cameras vs (IPhone 5i: 8MP and 1.2MP cameras) Up to 35 Hours talk time and 980 Hours of Standby time vs (Iphone 5 Up to 8 hours of talk time and 225 hours of Standby Time)
7) 267 ppi (Pixels per Inch) vs 326 ppi on IPhone 5 (IPhone 5 is a smaller screen)

Are you looking for a smartphone or a tablet? The Samsung Galaxy Note II is both a smartphone/tablet where the IPad's are just tablets.. Are you looking to connect it to wifi or 3g/4g networks?
If you are looking for wifi only option (my guess is that you are looking for 3g/4g), I would take a look at a Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire HD. They are both much better price points at $200. Plus the Nexus 7 is 2x faster than the IPad Mini at 1495-1591 geekbench, the Kindle Fir HD 7 is approx 1000- 1100 geekbench (1 1/2 times faster)

Original Question

iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy Note II, or other Android phone?
Q. I am getting a new phone soon and am torn between the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note II... My current phone is an iPhone 3GS but with the market increasingly driven by Android phones and the more open-sourced nature of the Android Market (never mind the fact that the Note has some pretty awesome features) is making me question which one to get. I like the features of both and was originally leaning towards the new iPhone, but I've heard some unflattering things about this latest model (besides the Maps debacle) and how it wasn't really an improvement on the 4... Any thoughts?

A. This is a tough questions that many people are debating... You are correct in saying that the Android market is expanding in many aspects much more rapidly than the iPhone market.

First, in terms of the iPhone 5. There are quite a few differences between the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 5. However, there are not that many noticeable differences between the iPhone 4/4s and the iPhone 5 (aside from the larger screen size). In my opinion, Apple hasn't changed all that much in the iPhone to keep it competitive in the market.

Now for the HTC Note II. It seems that you are familiar with the many features offered by the Note. The Note is one of the more competitive phones in the market these days. It gives people the features of a phone in addition the functionality of a tablet (i.e. Watching a video on 1/2 the screen and texting someone on the other 1/2 of the screen). One of the biggest downsides of the Note is that it is quite large for a cell phone. Although now a days everyone has Bluetooth in the car and uses speakerphone, headphones, or a Bluetooth earpiece.

All in all I would recommend the Note over the iPhone. If the larger size of the phone is turning you away from the Note I would suggest you take a look at the HTC DNA. It utilizes the same operating system, but is a 1/2 inch smaller so is easier to fit in your pocket.

Lemme know if you have any more questions.

Original Question

How are Samsung Galaxy Note's different in the newer version? Are they decent?
Q. Due to sheer need, I've decided to get my first real phone at the unbelievably old age of... 19.
When I first saw the Galaxy Note, I snorted with laughter and said only an idiot would want a phone that is that big.
And a month later, I've decided to take the plunge and connect myself... with a Note. Heh.
I love the size, look, the crystal clarity and all that. Bigger is better, after all.

I will primarily be using it for online browsing/the few odd calls - are they suitable? I know that Samsung's recently brought out a Galaxy S III - but they feel too small for me, which is ironic considering I have tiny hands.

So do you have one/are they okay? Are they easy to use and is the Note II that much different?

Also gotta add - since my laptop died last week, and since I can't call people on a tablet - is the Note a decent replacement? It's really a choice between laptop vs. Note, and laptops don't usually have call settings/are pretty damn big for just calling.
So...?

Thanks in advance!
And don't be afraid to dumb down what you're saying - I'm not terribly great with half the stuff that's being advertised for these smart phones. Heh.

A. The galaxy note 2 is the best on earth and can all what you need.
Read my link, i am fascinated of of my note 2
He can working with my samsung printer and make great video calls

And put my laptop to sleep.
