Q. Hi! I would like to ask what is the version of my SGS? I bought it here in Saudi Arabia and as per the details on the back of the phone in the battery compartment, it says "GT-i9000. I flashed it more than once using Firmwares on Sam Firmware.
A fellow SGS user told me to be careful regarding the flashing of the phone as most available Firmwares are for the International Version of the phone only Based on this details, would my SGS be considered an International Version? It is already unlocked.

Because I have make a hard reset on my samsung galaxy s2 gt-i9000 and i wanna know if that is like if you rooted a phone
A. No. If you root the phone, you have installed your own custom modified operating system. That is why when you root the phone, they also include an original operating system file, so you can re-install it to the original condition if all else fails.
