Q. Right now we use an iPod touch for the white noise app at night. We play it all night long on our iHome. I know that the Kindle Fire is able to download apps and the white noise is available---but I wanted to know if the Kindle Fire can be hooked up to an iHome or another device that will charge and play it all night?

A. I'm not sure what type of a charge port Kindle Fires have but I do know that Apple uses a very specific and unique charge port that I have never seen used for anything but an iPod, iPhone, iPad and I think that Samsung Galaxy tablets also have the same port. iHome devices are however made to be specifically compatible with Apple products and it probably would not support you Kindle.

Q. I recently bought myself and apple ipod touch 5th generation. When I had the 4th, I really wanted and ihome docking station. One that had kind of anything, an alarm clock, speakers, and a charger of course. A remote would be nice, too. But then I lost my 4th generation and got a 5. My grandma wasn't aware of that and for Christmas she got me a docking station that was compatible with 4th generation but not 5th. She returned it and she now says she will buy me a new one that will work. But, I can't seem to find a ihome compatible with the ipod touch 5th generation's new lighting cord charger. Please help!!!

A. Sounds like the battery isn't working. Has it been charged? Is it new? Is the keyboard working ok with bluetooth enabled smartphones? If not, you might want to call the company and see about a replacement.
