A. use a standard 1/8" audio cable to attach the headphone output of your ipad to the microphone input of your computer and record using garage band.

A. If you have an iPod touch and an iPad mini now wouldn't you be able to tell the difference? Anyway, these two devices are nothing alike.

No, the apps are not the same, because the iPad mini was made to use iPad apps, not iPhone/iPod apps. BUT you stll can download iPod apps on the iPad mini, they just may be oversized and a bit fuzzy, due to the fact that they need to be expanded to fit a larger screen. And yes, it should be easier to read because it's a bigger screen to see things better.
Will apple replace my iPad since it is crashing and freezing all the time?
Q. My iPad 2 freezes the screen will lock up and it won't let me do anything the buttons won't work. Sometimes it crashes would apple replace it?
A. Depends on whether or not it's still under warranty. If it is and there is no damage to it (not having been dropped, not having gotten wet) then yes they're likely to just apologize and give you a replacement.
It's what happened to mine when the speaker stopped working.
