I tried to install the Samsung USB Driver for mobile phones (V1.3.450.0) for my x64 computer... but it keeps failing. Why? What am I doing wrong?
Help is appreciated.
A. First i would assume the x64 o/s is either vista or win 7. In which case, the drivers are probably being blocked. If you have means of doing this on a 32-bit o/s it will be alot easier on u in the end. Otherwise, you need to disable Driver Signature Enforcement. You can do this by entering the advance startup options during boot (usually by holdin F8 or del key) and selecting "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement". Or using a program like the one here--http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=dseo--. Also the link to drivers on the xda site is linking you to galaxy drivers. Although Samsung does not have drivers for the SK4g, I used the ones for the vibrant and the kies mini updater--http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/SW/201101/20110124222256530/Kies_Mini_For_Vibrant_11011_4.exe--. After following steps mentioned above, the rest should be smooth sailing..best of luck
