and they can replace your laptop
the surface is way better than the galaxy note 10.1
why get the pro version of the surface I suggest that you get the rt version which is also amazing
it's cheaper and it's available now for sale
it has an amazing 10" screen with very good resolution
build quality is amazing
it has dual cameras and both of them take amazing photos and videos
it has a USB port which is a huge plus
it's battery last more than 10 hours
buy the touch cover with it (it costs $100) but it's worth it cause it's also a keyboard
overall the surface RT is an amazing tablet and you should get it
and yes you can use the pen thing also
if you want you can wait for the pro version but I don't advise you to

Microsoft Surface Tablet or Samsung Galaxy Note/Tab 2?
Q. I need a little help choosing with tablet is best for a 16 year old boy. If you could give me pros/cons of each one that would be great.
A. MS Surface
Pros: XBox integration, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), fantastic hardware (optional keyboard touch cover is a must), full USB port, SD card slot. More memory (32 GB vs 16 GB on Samsung)
Cons: Not that many apps (although key ones are there)
Samsung Galaxy Note
Pros: Many more apps than Surface, about $50 cheaper
Cons: No MS Office, Hardware isn't as nice (fit/finish)
Samsung galaxy note internet issue?
Q. Ok here is the story -
We bought a samsung galaxy note then returned it because the price had dropped by $100! So we reordered it and got it for the cheaper price. When we lifted up the samsung galaxy note (the battery was inside it) We noticed it was lighter, but didn't think much of it. We tested it out for a while and it worked fine. We could surf the web fine. But later when we used it when we seached something or tried to go to a site we would end up with a completely black screen (sometimes the keyboard would cover the bottom half of the screen) When the screen was black the only way to get out of it was to press the home key. So far everything else on the samsung galaxy note has been fine. Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it? Or is there no hope and we should just return it?
@robin As far as we know it is not refurbished. We will most likely return it but first we want to look into it more.
A. My personal opinion would be to send/take it back. It definitely has some problems which should be covered under warranty.
I would be curious to know if it stated as being "refurbished" upon purchase. If so demand a replacement instead of being repair "again"!
