A. I would say otter box defender my brother has it for his iPhone 4S. It is so good and very durable. Pick what you think is best.

Q. Im getting an ipad soon and i will be getting a smart cover as well. Do i need another cover to cover the back aswell? I want it to stay looking new and not scratched, should i cover it? What type of covers/cases will also allow the smart cover to be put on? Do those protecters that you stick on work?
A. If you want to prevent scratches then yeah, your gonna need a case for it. I reccomend the griffin survivor case, as it is very strong and won't break easy, hope this helps ;)
