Q. I currently have Blackberry which makes it easy to type but I'm getting a smart phone touch screen for christmas. I'm getting a Samsung Galaxy S3. I'm just wondering if it would be just as good especially when it comes to texting?
A. There is a mobile version of YA that is extremely limited. I find it too bare-bones for me. I have a Droid and simply use the full site. If you get put in the mobile site automatically, just scroll to the bottom and click the Desktop link there.
A touch screen keyboard takes getting used to. I used a stylus at first, but finally figured out how gently you need to touch to make it work and now I'm fine. My biggest problem is the keyboard covers a bit too much of the screen, so you have to scroll more than I like. But other than a slight hotspot offset problem that sometimes turns a thumbs up into a down, it works well. I use a medium zoom to be able to read things; a younger person may not have to do that.
What tablet has the closest make and model to ipad but cheaper?
Q. What tablet has the closest make and model to ipad but cheaper? It can be mini or full sized
For Christmas i originally wanted and ipad because my ipod broke, i have no good camera my phone is a flip out Keyboard not a smart phone, and i started using a ipad at school and loved it! i planed on paying what they couldn't. but they talked me into compromising on and tablet. i got a 7in android. i tired it out, but honestly i hate it!
the camera quality is horrible
the google play store only takes credit card and i hate give out my info
it takes forever to charge
it powers on/off and connects with apps very slow
it will allow me to download app but then doesn't allow me to open them saying i need 3g?
the wifi connection is horrible (we've never had a problem getting connection from are house or outside the house with this i don't get good connection unless within 20ft!!!!)
i have every thing but the plastic Package including a 90 day warranty (should i be able to return?)hoping i could return i of course had to tell my parents:( it broke my heart to tell them i disliked the gift ive never had to do that before, im not usually that kind of person, but i honestly just wanna shelf it and use my computer, and that's allot of money to just waste! if it can be returned ill buy something else and cover the difference. but they only spent $100 on the android (bust Buy/black friday)and i wouldn't like to spend more than $150 my self so my budget is $250 id love and ipad but can afford it.
A. The kindle fire, windows 8 tablet (but i think that is more expensive than an iPad), Nook, Google Nexus 7, Samsung Galaxy Note, and Microsoft Surface.
Kindle Fire: $159 (amazon.com)
Windows 8: $499 (amazon.com)
Nook: $199 (from Barnes and Nobles)
Google Nexus 7: $249 (amazon.com)
Samsung Galaxy Note: $499.99 (amazon.com)
Microsoft Surface: $599 (many different websites)
what is the difference between a tablet and a laptop? what kind of tablet should i get?
Q. im looking at different kinds currently, and am not sure what i should ge. i am looking at the nexus 10, and the asus eee pad transformers prime. im also looking at the hybrid asus transformer 300. which should i get? im also looking at just a kindle but am not sure.
i want to use my tablet to get on the internet, read, and chacked y facebook and such. i also want easy acess to the internet and youtube, along with the best visual effects. i don't want a foggy screen. i would like it to have a camera and would not like a plastic covering, i want metal, or metallic. however i refer to it. i would like the price to be lower, th elower it is the better, because i do have limited spending options....
i would also like to know the good and bad to each tablet option, and am also open to more options, whatver you reccomend for me. please give me good ideas, i want to get the best deal.
i also want to be able to upload my music onto it
A. I would definitely recommend just getting a tablet because for your needs a tablet can do that perfectly. A tablet is more for surfing the web, reading books, music, and watching videos. A laptop is more for getting serious work done.
Out of those choices I would either go with the Nexus 10 or the Asus transformer 300. Another good option that you didn't write down but is still a good tablet is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, and that one comes with a stylus.
Nexus 10- Pros: Very fast, best-in-class, made by samsung but distributed by google so quick and timely updates. Cons: Ok build quality, 7 hour battery life
Asus Transformer 300- Pros: You can buy the keyboard that has a separate battery in it, good build quality. Cons: Gets scratched really easily, and has a lot of performance hiccups
Kindle- Pros: Amazons ecosystem, good battery life Cons: You don't get the real android experience because of Amazon.
Out of those, without a doubt, I would recommend the Nexus 10
