Q. Hi I am a high school student and I had an iPad and while it was great I also felt like there were more options at lower prices so I wanted to know if a 7 inch tablet like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 or if i should buy the 8.9 or the 10.1 or just stick with the iPad would be good enough thank you for your answers and please no Apple freaks I want completely true facts
A. Being a student has nothing to do with how you'll use the tablet.
Do you want it for gaming? It will work just as well as a 10" tablet although most cheap 7" tablets ahve worse graphics. For notetaking? My personal opinion is that 7" is too small, but some people like it. For watching movies? It's good enough. For drawing? the iPad is probably better because it's touch screen is more precise and it's got a higher resolution.
Is the price of Samsung Galaxy tab expected to fall by December end?
Q. I don't need it right now.
A. There are three Galaxy Tabs. The 7", 8.9" and 10.1". Likely, you'll see a price drop on all three by year end.
The "next-generation" of Android tablets will be coming out by the holiday season. These quad-core powered tablets, like the Amazon Hollywood, will push the price of the current top-line models down quite a bit.
Seriously consider a factory refurbished model. They've been fully reconditioned to like-new status by Samsung and are usually about $100 less expensive than new, with the same warranty. Just make sure its a "factory" refurbished model.
What is a tablet worth buying?
Q. I was considering an iPad 2, but I want to hear from you guys on anything that is better, facts or opinion. My budget is $400. I want a tablet to help with school work and take notes (to work Mircosoft Word if all possible), play games such as Minecraft on the go, and draw. Any suggestions or will an iPad 2 be good enough?
A. Generally, I like the iOS tablets better but in budget tablets I think you should give android tablets a try. For drawing Galaxy tabs will be the best because they have S-pen but for under $400 you can't get the latest Galaxy tabs( Galaxy tab 10.1 is around $470). The best Samsung tablet you can get within $400 is galaxy tab 2. My favorite is Xperia tablet S. You just need to compare its specs with the other tablets in the same price range and apart from the specs it has some unique features like being splash-proof, magazine fold design, being playstation certified and guest mode for more than one account support and there is a special cover that also functions as keyboard don't expect it to work as good as a normal keyboard but it's fine. The 16GB version is $399. The down-side is the memory card it doesn't use microSD but normal SD card. I believe The other budget tablets like kindle fire 8.9 HD are fine but they are not all rounders and some they may let you down because of less powerful processing fire compared with Xperia tablet S, ipads and Galaxy tabs. You can cmpare the tablets specs here:
Note: There is another tablet named tablet S not Xperia tablet S; tablet S is not a good tablet in my opinion but Xperia tablet S is good.
