Q. So I am trying to charge my ipad. I have it plugged into the USB slot on my laptop, and the other end of the cord in the ipad charger slot. A. Because you CANNOT charge off the laptop. The laptop USB port is only half the amount of power needed to charge. When I plug it into a computer USB port, it says "not charging" on top. You need to use the AC adapter.
