Q. I am planning to buy a samsung galaxy s mobile phone in India. Will the same work in US. Are there good data plans offered by carriers for unlocked phones ? What would be my options ? Please help.
I already have an unlocked mobile phone and I am not looking to unlock. What I wanted to know is whether with the unlocked phone I have, will I get good data plans. Or will I be forced to take a data plan which will have a phone bundled.
A. Yes, it will work just fine on either T-Mobile or AT&T, which are America's GSM networks.

Q. I currently have a Samsung Flight 2 (basic phone) and I wan planning on buying a Samsung Galaxy Nexus unlocked. I was wondering if I could take my sim card out of my old basic phone and just add it into the smartphone!
NOTE: I have an AT&T basic talk and text plan.
A. it will work temporarily, but any data usage not connected to a WiFi hotspot will show up on AT&T's records and will be reported... it won't likely be long before AT&T contacts you and tells you that you need a data plan.
