Q. HEEEEEEELP !!! I can't find them ANYWHERE. I need a SILICONE phone case for the Samsung Galaxy S (THE FIRST ONE) !!!!!!!
A. You can find them at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Silicone-Rubber-Samsung-Galaxy-Electromaster/dp/B004WLXB6S/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1340368894&sr=8-3&keywords=samsung+galaxy+s+silicone+phone+case=UTF8&tag=picnicpointpe-20&linkCode or several other online retailers. Here's an example of another one that I found: http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-3894326-10536138?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.accessorygeeks.com%2Fsamsung-vibrant-crystal-silicone-case-pink-argyle.html&cjsku=LCF-SAT959ARHP
What phone should I get on sprint for upgrade?
Q. I have an Evo 4G currently I am torn in between Iphone 4s or Samsung Galaxy S2? Or should I even wait for Iphone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S3 to come out? I like Android OS better I had a first generation Iphone before. I am trying to be open minded about my next purchase rather then one sided.
A. If you previously had the Evo and liked it, you should go with the new Evo 4G "LTE" that will be coming out soon (sometime in Q2). While it's usually a questionable practice waiting for the next best thing to come out, I do advise it in this case.
When the new evo comes out it will have the combination of the best screen technology (Super LCD 2) and the best processor (Snapdragon S4 is a dual core but it's the fastest ARM chip on the market right now, substantially outperforming the quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3) available. On top of that, it will have excellent battery life and take great pictures.
And in my opinion (and the opinion of Engadget and many other tech blogs) HTC's Sense 4 is pretty f-ing great. And if you liked your original Evo, you may already be a fan of Sense (if not, I'd say read some reviews on Sense 4 and give it a chance).
So yea, that's what I would go with if I was in your shoes.
Why is virgin mobiles signal strength so much weaker than sprint?
Q. I had sprint for two years. I had the photon 4g. I decided to switch to virgin because it's running off sprint towers and is much cheaper. With the photon i had decent service and got a strong 4g signal at my job and home, I always had many bars. When I went to virgin I bought their flagship Samsung galaxy victory 4g lte and expected signal strength to be the same since its running off the same service. That's not the case. I don't get a good signal at my home (which is where I had the absolute best signal) and at work. What's up with that? Is virgin limited or something? There is a sprint tower literally down the street from my home and i barely get a bar.
A. There's many factors to consider. I understand you had Sprint with another phone, but regardless Virgin Mobile using Sprint's cell towers, quality differs with different cellphones. Also its not a direct access to the network since its not Sprint itself. There will a slight network strength loss. What makes more of a difference is the cellphone. I saw the same situation between T-Mobile & Simple Mobile, Simple runs thru TMO's network. But once again what makes the difference is the device.
(& platforms- Android 1.5 (Donut),1.6 (Eclair), 2.1, 2.2(Froyo), 2.3.4, 2.3.5. 2.3.6, 2.3.7(Gingerbread), 3.0, 3.1 (Honeycomb), 4.0.1, 4.0.4 (Ice cream Sandwich, 4.1.0. 4.2.1(Jellybean) <--Different versions means different radios. Radios also determine network strength.
