Q. I have a color nook which i'm considering selling to get the kindle fire. Just wondering what people think of that idea? Is the fire really worth the cost and trouble?
A. I would totally go for it - as the fire is really a full color tablet, whereas the color nook is really just ereader focused. The apps on the nook more limited and reader centric - and the new kindle browser is amazing..
If you pre-purchase now you can get it before anyone else, as soon as it is ready to ship. You can get it for a good price here:
http://www.shoppersource.net/goto/kindle_fire
Reasons:
The fire silk browser supports flash and rich media, so it will work fine with youtube, facebook, twitter, maps etc and pretty much everything else I would expect.
You can also load thousands of androids apps such as games and office suites, in addition to millions of ebooks/movies and music from the amazon store.
Considering the price it's a crazy deal.
Can you read your kindle purchases on multiple devices?
Q. I am getting a kindle ereader and I also have kindle for android on my phone. If I buy a book on the kindle, can I also view/read it on my phone as long as I use the same account?
A. yes, amazon.com offers the "kindle" app for almost every device. You can b uy a book on your kindle and read it on your PC or on your blackberry.I love answering kindle questions, it's by far one of my favorite devices that i keep in my bag.
For starters and most importantly I own the Kindle 2 (soon to be upgrading to the Kindle DX), and it is easy for me to say I love it! I think I've read over 20 books so far.
There are other reviews on the Kindle 2 here:

And for the Kindle DX:

I love my Kindle because it has helped me improve a lot on my efficiency and utilize my time. Before I owned the Kindle, waiting time like when I'm waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing like that is simply wasted. Now I just need to bring the Kindle 2 along with me. Another thing I like the most is the text-to-speech function, which means I can "read" books without even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I like to use this function when I've myself busy on some boring things, say when I'm on the step machine or doing some housework...
I like reading and at the beginning I missed a bit on the feeling of reading books. But now I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink seems to work very well, it is really like reading books... Now I often read with the Kindle for several hours but I don't feel tired.
I linked your directly to the Kindle Store on amazon.com! I really do hope you consider getting your own =)

How to fix the page numbers on my Kindle Fire?
Q. My dad recently gave me his Kindle Fire because he bought himself a new tablet. Every time I buy a new book from amazon the page numbers are wrong. He doesn't recall if the page numbers have always been messed up. We bought it not even a year ago.
For example, a book that is 400 pages shows to be anywhere from 3000 to 64000 pages in the location bar. The book isn't really that long so page one is always a high number. The percentage works on the location bar. This is really annoying. How can I fix the page numbers?
A. Unfortunately, the 1st generation Kindle Fire doesn't support page number right now... It only has location.
You can see this is improved on 2nd generation Kindle Fire. It has page number:

Let's hope amazon will upgrade the 1st generation Kindle Fire software later.
