Q. I've had an iPhone for years now, so I'm very familiar with Apple. However, I may buy a Galaxy S3, which is android. List some similarities and differences between Apple and Android for me? And which you prefer? (:
A. Android had much improvement over years. It's more user friendly, it's much customizable, it's more modern, it has much less restrictions. Overall android is a much advanced platform than Apple's IOS. IOS still has the same UI from 2007. Apple releases a new IOS version in one year where more than 3 android versions ar released every year. Android phones have much power. There are androids with Quad core cpu, 1080p display, 2GB RAM where the most powerful IOS device has dual core cpu, 640p display etc. Android overall is much smarter and better than Apple's IOS.
The difference between Android and apple is android is customizable, android has different UI's and features. There are thousands of background apps for android. Android is a true multitasker where IOS is not so much. That's the difference.
android country change (Not from settings)?
Q. I bought an ACER A500 from China and it is running on the Android OS. Unfortunately, it has all default apps that i don't need, plus i can't download anything from the android market. So is there anyway i can set the software so its like i bought it form the U.S.?
To clarify, software differ slightly between regions, so there is the U.S. version of the Android OS, and a Chinese version of the Android U.S. My tablet by default has the Chinese version of the Android OS, since i bought it from China, but i want to U.S. version of the android O.S.
Changing the country through the settings does not work BTW. Its a huge problem since i can't read anything from the chinese version of the android market.
