Q. Does it have nice smooth scrolling, does it swipe between home screens smoothly, does it multitask well without lag, does it switch apps and go to homescreen quickly? What is it like compared to the ipad 2? P.S. I want to know about honeycomb 3.1 not 3.0. Thank you in advanced.
A. the samsung galaxy tab is the generally better tablet compared to the other tablets. although, compared to the ipad 2, it has basically the same features except for the system. the ipad 2 has more apps but the galaxy is bigger.
Two questions on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (WiFi + 3G)?
Q. First Question,
When will the Ice Cream Sandwich update be available for this tablet? I am eagerly waiting for the update.
Second Question,
Will the Galaxy tab 10.1 with 3G be able to handle GSM calls after the ICS update?
A. Hey,
First Answer:
So far Samsung has been so kind as to not reveal any possible dates for when they will update the Tab 10.1 to ICS. Right now, Samsung Canada has already pushed the updates, so I can only speculate that Samsung USA will also push it out within about a Month.
-I am also waiting for my Tab 10.1 to get upgraded to ICS.
Second Answer:
If your Galaxy Tab 10.1 + 3G is currently able to handle GSM calls, then it should also be able to after the update. Unfortunately Samsung has not said whether or not it will be able to, so we can only hope, but if it cannot already do this, then I wouldn't think that it would be able to after the ICS upgrade.
In My Opinion, I think Samsung has done a terrible job with providing details for the ICS upgrade list and dates. They are just now starting to push out the updates, and that's only in Canada and no word about the US. I can only hope that it comes soon, I can't wait for the upgrade.
Hope this Helped!!!
Should I get a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or iPad 2?
Q. Alright heres the deal:
I have an iPod touch 4th generation, but its starting to fail on me a bit (due to alot of drops). I am very familiar with using iTunes and the App Store, i bought alot of Games and Music already
But then again, i have a HTC Thunderbolt (Android Powered) so i am also familiar with their OS as well, i bought a few games on there. Nothing major
I really liked the fact that Android uses flash obviously, I also liked the widgets and what not. but the iTunes and Apple App Store is 100 times better then the Droid Market
So my question is, what should i buy? the galaxy tab or the ipad 2?
A. Samsung provides better widgets but Apple does serve better over a longer period of time. For example, Apple iPad will communicate very well with other Apple products you have through the new OS feature, iCloud (look it up on the web). Whereas Android products appear to be independent, once you get one Apple product you may as well start buying more of them, hence the phrase "Once you go Mac, you don't go back". If you want your device with more games, better quality and better value, it would be logical to pick the iPad 2.
Forget that, though. Android is a smart system and the Galaxy Tab is a very nice tablet, especially, as you pointed out that it uses Flash. The widgets on it are helpful. What I just cannot get my head round is the fact that Android still seems rather tacky! It's not, really, but the iPad would definitely win here.
It really does depend on what you already have. As I have a MacBook Pro, iPod Touch 4G, iPhone 3GS and Apple TV, it would obviously make sense for me to choose an iPad 2. In the situation you are in, I think its just down to personal opinion, really. If you were to get an Android tablet though, I would recommend you get a HTC Flyer as you are already aware of HTC technology.
