Q. I recently bought the new samsung galaxy tablet and i love it theres this app on here called peel smart remote does anyone know how to work it and do i need a cable box to still use this?
A. I got a samsung galaxy tab 2 for Christmas and started playing with the Peel application the other night. Let me tell you I am just blown away by it for my media room. It turns on every device inclusive of my projector. Fairly easy to set up too. Just follow the bouncing ball instructions on your tablet. I recommend updating the version on your tablet by going online. It will recongnize you have it installed and ask if you want to upgrade. It runs off IR like a universal remote control. The coolest thing about it is you select your cable provider for your area and it will go on your wi-fi and show all the current programs with pictures/description on your tablet. You tap you selection on the tablet to change your channel on your cable box and woooot!!!. No need to pick up your cable providers remote and block part of your TV screen with the program listing. This simple app saves you from having to go out and buy some expensive harmony version. LOL can you tell I like it?
What's the difference between the Samsung galaxy 3,4 and the tablet phones?
Q.
A. In truth the Samsung Galaxy S3 and 4 are very similar. There are pretty much just internal differences between them and a few noticeable differences on the outside like the slightly bigger screen and a 1080p screen.
By tablet phones I'm betting you mean phablets. They are a combination of phone and tablet and get their weird name of phablet. Basically a "phablet" is a very large phone that get's close to tablet size. One example is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. It has a 6.4 inch screen and is massive. Along with having huge screens phablets have amazing specs. They usually have the top of the line processor with some other goodies such as a stylus as seen in the Samsung galaxy note line.
Phablets offer amazing specs but the price tag is always very high. Even on contract the phone's will cost around 300$. When first released phablets were though of as crazy but people actually liked them. A phablet at first was considered a phone around 5 inches or bigger. But now most android phones are actually normally that size and phablets are getting way bigger. Such as the Note 2 which is 5.5 inches and the rumored Note 3 which plans to be even bigger. The HTC One max is supposed to have a 5.9 inch screen and like I mentioned above the already available sony xperia z has a 6.4 inch screen.
Apple iPad2 or Samsung Galaxy Tablet?
Q. I bought the Samsung Galaxy today, I'm still trying to figure it out; but now I'm thinking I might want to switch it for the iPad 2. I don't know which I should have, I kind of want to know what the Galaxy has that the ipad doesn't and vice versa, and which would be the overall best pick. If anyone can help me, i would greatly appreciate it.
Thank You!
A. Considering that Samsung is losing court battles all over the world for blatantly copying the iPad and iPhone with its Galaxy phones/tablets, and that the iPad 2 is by FAR the most successful tablet, go with the original and get the iPad. I've taught everyone from children to the elderly to the legally blind to use an iPad with ease, and it took about two hours for each to learn. iPads are far more use friendly, have many more apps to choose from, and aren't open to viruses and malware like the Android platform. I've used both Windows and Mac, my choices were made with facts and experience. Apple has proven to me over and over that's it's just the best choice in almost every case.
