Q. Here in New Zealand, everything is overpriced and it is much cheaper to order things from US sites. I am looking at buying a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition from Amazon.com as it is about $300 cheaper than buying it here. So would a US version of this tablet work in New Zealand? I know that it comes with Hulu plus and all that which definitely wouldn't work here, but I was just wondering if the device was region-locked in some way. Also, I know that Amazon doesn't ship electronics to NZ, but we have this service run by New Zealand Post which allows us to have US items delivered here. The only problem I see with getting a US version is the AC adapter being suited to US sockets, but I can always use a different one that is compatible here like my apple AC adapter because the chord which connects the Galaxy to the adapter is removable. Thanks!
A. As far as the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 version is concerned, there are not much limitations and restrictions in android tablets and they are really easy to use anywhere, pretty universal in this sense, so you would be able to use every feature on it as far as there is no physical requirement of you to be there in US. It would work well.
Here it mentions about Galaxy Note 10.1 functionality outside US and pros and cons for getting it:

I wont prefer using the adopter of Apple product on any other device other than Apple's devices, but you can find the same charger on most of the android device, but remember to use a "tablet charger" since it takes more charge and needs a bigger charger, dont try the phone charger, it would be slow as hell and might even fail easily. And region lock is generally on devices with SIM slot as when you insert a SIM card and Note 10.1 wont come with any kind of slot to add SIM. You'll simply be using it with a WiFi connection.
Hope this helped!
Overcharged Samsung Galaxy Note/Tab 10.1?
Q. I took a quip nap and left my tab charging by an hour because the app says last time charged is 0:01. I woke up at 1:00. So approximately, yeah, one hour. Does it have negative effects on my tab? Does the battery or charger of this Samsung have an over-charging protection where the battery/charger stops charging when it's already 100%?
Does this samsung charger of Galaxy Note supports that feature?
A. Yes it does my samsung tablet stop charging at 100 % there is a over charge limit switch inside the samsung tablet to keep it from overcharging and burning up all tablets and smartphone have some sort of limit swich inside of them to keep them from overcharging, reminder leaving it on charge like a laptop will also decrease the battery life
Samsung galaxy note 10.1 charger issues?
Q. I think i may have a charger issue. I am using the original charger and it doesnt seem to charge while in use. it dies as if it werent even charging. It charges while not in use and on, but charges slower while turned on. turned off, It charges faster but takes longer than usual. Do you think it is the charger or the battery?? and no, there isnt a red X across the battery
A. Seems it's charging slower than it should be? Did you charge it with laptop, or with wall plug? Charging via laptop will make it much slower. And have you tried to restart the device?
There's also a good possibilty, that the battery montior software gets out of sync with charge in the battery. It'll make the device having issues on charging/battery, having frozen screen, etc. There's a good discussion here, on how to fix such kind of problem:

The discussion is for the Kindle tablets, but same steps will work on any Android tablets.
