Q. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace (new as of Christmas) and would charge it in my car, using a USB adapter for the cig lighter. The adapter was actually made for our TomTom, but it worked with my phone and the usb chord that came with the phone. My husband took the TomTom and adapter with him to work out of town (for 3 months), so I bought a new adapter. It was cheap ($5 from Dollar General), but I thought I would try it, and it did not work, though the package said compatible with Samsung. So I went to Wal-Mart and got another one, also said compatible with Samsung. Also did not work. I thought maybe it was my chord, but I tried both on my moms phone (LG) and it worked. I can plug it into the computer and it will charge, I can plug it into the wall adapter (not USB, actual wall plug) and it works. Does anyone know why the adapters I bought will not charge my phone? I spend most of my time in the car and need a charger there!
A. It sounds like the pins in the chord may have bent some, where it will not connect to the power plug in the car and the phone. There is also a possibility that the pins in the phone are bent.
is the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G a good phone?
Q. are there any problems with it? give me your review
A. The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G is a very good phone. It is a part of the Galaxy S series, but, with a mid-range price tag so you get an affordable Galaxy S experience. I really like the look of the phone, it has a slim and sleek classic look. I actually chose this phone over the Galaxy S2 and S3 for the price and the size, I own a small tablet already so I didn't want a phone that was comparable to another tablet. If you are looking for a Galaxy S experience/smart phone this one is a nice bet, it's fast so all games, videos, and web pages load and perform exactly as they should. It also has a great camera for photos and or video. I specifically like the Wifi Calling feature, the Hot-spot feature which supplies a network connection for up to 8 devices, as well as the ability to watch my Netflix movies from my phone.
Are there any problems with it? Yes, there is one problem with the phone and that is the battery life. Since I've gotten my phone I've not held a full charge for the entire day. I do use the phone fairly heavily talking, texting or using Gtalk, watching Youtube, Netflix and playing games - mostly talking. I've obtained an app that helps preserve the battery life and it has helped some but, I plan to obtain a higher mAh battery in the near future. It's not that big of a deal to me because I have the USB connector with me if needed as well as a car charger and of course the option to upgrade the battery whenever I see fit. I've yet to regret my purchase and plan to have this phone for a very long time. I love Android, Samsung and all of the phones features.
Bottom line, it's a lot of bang for your buck.
Samsung Galaxy S3 question?
Q. so after weeks of deciding... I decided to sell my iPhone 4S and choose Galaxy S3 over HTC One X.
We can pre-order from some retailer on Amazon US, but my question is... is the wall charger/outlet same as US? How can we charge it, beside via usb?
And can the phone be use with GSM simcard? (T-mobile)
Thanks!
(I cannot wait for iphone 5, this is my only chance to sell the iphone at a good price, that's why I'm stupid and willing to pay over $800 for the phone)... and have to give up $200 app purchase, iTunes, iCloud, and all my favorites apps.
A. If you're buying the US version, then you'll get US standard charger or if you're buying EU version, you'll get EU standard charger, but it's nothing to worry about as you can find a converter for different standards. Other than charger, you can charge your phone via USB connecting it to your PC or car charger. But I think you should check for cheaper options before getting it from Amazon. About compatibility with T-Mobile, the phone must support 1700MHz for data. Their LTE also works on 1700MHz (mainly) / 2100MHz so check before buying or you'll have to be satisfied with 2G only. If you need to pre-order or get the Samsung Galaxy S III factory-unlocked at reasonable price or need more information, mail me to yonoulee@gmx.com
