Q. i have a sprint samsung intercept thats android powered. and have an app called "shoot me" (screen capture app) and it says i need root access, but how do i get it?
A. First, keep in mind that rooting voids your warranty.
XDA Developers has the most comprehensive information out there on rooting (forum-style):

Heres some text from PCWorld (Sep 14, 2010) on the topic:
Until fairly recently, rooting Android was a messy process that required installing the Android Debug Bridge and hacking the phone from a command line. Fortunately, some industrious hackers have produced a few simple apps that can root your device in seconds with the tap of a finger. In this tutorial, I'll discuss two such apps--Easy Root (for the Motorola Droid, Droid X, and Milestone, and the HTC/Google Nexus One) and Unrevoked (which supports a variety of HTC handsets).
It's important to note here that although these one-click root apps are easy to use, they aren't completely trouble-free. For instance, as of this writing the developer of Unrevoked 3 is reviewing it to solve a problem with the HTC EVO 4G (but Unrevoked 2 is still available). And the latest version of Android, 2.2 (aka Froyo), will present new challenges for root users as carriers and phone manufacturers continue to try to block users from hacking their handsets. These obstacles are a basic reality for anyone attempting to root their device, just as Apple iPhone users must constantly adapt to Apple's efforts to block people from jailbreaking the iPhone.
Even though Easy Root and Unrevoked don't work on all Android phones, they do cover a broad swath of the Android universe. If you're interested in rooting a Samsung Galaxy or another device, however, you still have options--they're just not as easy. Because the state of Android hacking is constantly in flux, your best bet for phones not covered in this tutorial is to google "root" and the name of your phone, or to keep an eye on the discussions about your phone on a good Android forum, such as AllDroid.org.
Which feels better in the hand: Galaxy Nexus or Droid Razr?
Q. AT first i was going to get the droid razr over the nexus but, then i heard from the reviews that it fealt to big and awkward especially in one hand. I need to decide soon because i have an upgrade availible and i want to get signed up on verizons new data plans if i dont get grandfathered in Unlimited.
A. This all depends on what you are looking for. The RAZR is slim and sleek, but wider than the Galaxy Nexus. The Galaxy Nexus is taller, making for more of an awkward feel to hold and keep in your pocket (as would the RAZR being wider).
Galaxy Nexus: 5.33 x 2.67 x 0.35 (135.5 x 67.94 x 8.94 mm) 135 grams
Droid RAZR: 5.15 x 2.71 x 0.28 (130.7 x 68.90 x 7.10 mm) 127 grams
The Galaxy feels more solid, as it weighs 8 grams heavier (not too large of a difference). The Galaxy Nexus does not feel as tough, as it's made from a plastic material. The only thing making it feel stronger than a toy phone, is the "studding" on the back cover. The RAZR feels great with the Kevlar-woven back, although the cover does not come off (turn off for some buyers). Overall, the RAZR feels tougher (it is...), and the NExus feels a bit more comfortable in the hand. There is such a slight difference in size (except for thickness), that the RAZR is all around better feeling. Just take into consideration, the different UI (user interface) of each device. Samsung Galaxy Nexus has a pure Google experience, meaning they will get faster Android updates. The RAZR will need Motorola and Android to skin the updates for Motorola's new UI. Also, the fact that the G-Nexus will have the 3 navigational buttons, while the RAZR will have 4. Having the 4 old-school keys, means with ICS being released, 1 or 2 of those navigational keys will have no use. Hope all this helps, and look into certain specs more thoroughly (such as Moto's "Smart Actions" and battery life of the 2 devices).

A. Most likely not as they are different sizes. The iPad is 241.3 mm x 185.7 mm while the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is 256.7mm x 175.3mm
