Q. i have just bought a Samsung galaxy y pro, and i don't know how to disable the packet data(3 g) permanently. when i disable it from settings, it automatically turns on for like 30 minutes, and i hate it because it's charging me for no reason, and now my charges got a lot bigger. how do i disable it? PLEASE HELP
A. Go to Settings>Mobile networks and untick the first two boxes. Also, enable 2G only (change to GSM only instead of having UMTS).
Another thing is in Settings, go to Account & sync and untick Background data. Only enable this when you needed (eg: updating apps, email sync and etc.)
