Q. so im a college student and i was thinking in getting a tablet for school?
the reason is mainly to get the text books in ereader form. that way its easier for me to buy all the book from amazon and download them on the tablet. instead of trying to look at different stores and going on amazon trying to find the cheapest and ordering the books i need.
im also a big reader, so i definitely would use it for reading my kind of books.
i can slo use it for pdf notes that professors give us.
at first i was going for a kindle fire but now i heard that the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 came out and it looks way better and a more powerful tablet for my needs.
anyways should i or should i not?
will it save me some cash in buying my textbooks in ereader form?
btw i already have a laptop which i will continue to use to write my essays regardless if i do decide to get a tablet or not. i think i will do some light essays on the tablet.
but last semester i took my laptop to school and it was a big burden for me to carry my backpack and the laptop carrying case around, especially since i dont have a car and use the city bus to get from school to my house.
for those who do you use tablet, idc if its an ipad or an android tablet, is it convenient for school? if so how?
if not, then why not?
A. Very few of your textbooks will be available in e-reader form. The major textbooks publishers just don't offer them that way yet.
You'll be better off skipping the tablet and buying books the old-fashioned way, at least for a couple more years.
I need Android help?!?
Q. So, I have a Samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 (P3110), and I've been messing around with custom roms and all that fun stuff, but now I've decided I want to go back to the stock Android 4.0.3. How do I do this? I've researched this online and found nothing, so I would like some advice on how to go about doing this. Any help would be great :D
A. there are a couple ways to do it.
you can keep your custom recovery and flash the stock rooted version of the software just like you have been flashing ROM's
or you can restore your stock nandorid backup you made...becase i KNOW you made one. i am 100% comfortable with flashing ROMs and stuff, but i still have a stock ROM backup on my phone and PC just in case.
you can go back to completely stock. not sure exactly how to do it but look into Kies. i believe this is the way most samsung devices work...basically using Keis to flash the stock bootloader, recovery img, and ROM.
which tablet is better ?
Q. hey, i have a maximum $ 250 budget, and i am looking for a good tablet for reading PDF wifi, Microsoft Office, writing documents, reading documents, as well as to store totorial videos. Its basically for school, but it would be nice to have so additional cool features, lke for music or games , or watching movies etc...any how, is the samsung galaxy tab 7.0 better than the google nexus 7 ?!?
which one is better any why is it better
also are there any other good tablets for that prcice range ?
A. Personally, the Google Nexus 7 stuck with me better. I think you've narrowed it down to the two most reliable tablets that are not only cheap, but versatile and useful. Here's why-
Online, especially on craigslist, you can find both of these tablets used, as well as unopened. The prices are generally the same whether it's used or unopened, and averages at around $170-200 for each 7" model. You will generally be able to find this price, often irregardless of the storage capacity. They will also often come with cases, it's just a matter of you looking for and finding the best offers.
As for which one is better, that's up to you- They both run Android, and they look different. However, the Nexus has a higher screen resolution, is cheaper than the Tab 2, and has a quad-core processor. The cons of the Nexus are, although the Nexus is easier to find for prices $40-50 less than the Tab 2, you will also be sacrificing a MicroSD slot and a back camera, but still has a front camera. So if you like scanning codes or feel the need to double the 16GB storage capacity, Tab 2 is for you. I didn't have a problem with it, and the Nexus was also lighter, imo sleeker and felt better to hold.
Good luck!
