Q. Okay, so my mum & dad are the type of people who use the internet alot so I'm looking for cellphones with 3G, Wifi, GPS & some little extras like Second VGA. They're quite old so their eyesight is not very good and having to use their old, practically dinosaur-age mobile phones have caused them some problems like not being able to see the messages clearly or not being able to check their e-mails.
My budget is around $150-160 for each of them. Would prefer touchscreen phones, I'd love to get them a Samsung Galaxy S3 or an Iphone but I could not afford either. HTC sounds good but people still complain about it a lot?
I'm thinking about buying my Mum the Sony Xperia Pro(which has good specs so far, and has a Qwerty keypad which would be very useful for her- because she can alternate between typing and still learn how to use touchscreen)
But I have no idea what to get for my dad!
The Oppo Finder & the Meizu MX look sleek and sexy but they're both Chinese brands and I'm not even sure I can even claim warranty where I am at- what if it blows up just when my dad's using it? LOL
Can anybody help me solve this dilemma?
Thanks.
A. samsung galaxy y,samsung galaxy ace
hi im planning to buy a new phone and saw the blackberry curve 9360 apollo, is this a good phone?
Q. compared to the samsung galaxy series is it good? can you recommend other qwerty capable phones that's as good/ better but under the same price range?
A. Pros:
Thin
Great camera w/ flash
Keys closer to the body
Screen quality
Cons:
Faulty keyboard material
Slow processor
Slow browser
Apps: Very few in App World
Galaxy series do not feature physical keyboards so it is hard to compare both device. Nevertheless, if you looking for an entertainment phone, android device is your better option.
Apps to download to get a bigger touchscreen keyboard?
Q. I have the Samsung Galaxy Europa and the keyboard onscreen isn't easy to text quickly on.
Any ideas of apps i could download to make it easier to use?
A. 1. MessagEase- Although it is really hard to learn, I heard that it can really help you type quickly once you have learnt it, and the keys are bigger than those on the QWERTY keyboard too.
2. WiFi keyboard- Highly recommended. You type on your PC, but the words appear on your phone instead.
Hope it helps :-).
Oh, and one more: Swype BETA. You slide each word instead of tapping on the screen for each letter, making it more accurate and fast even for a phone with a small screen. You can download it by signing up for the Beta at: beta.swype.com/android/create/
