Q. Its getting ice cream sandwich,I know that. But do you think it will get anymore updates after that ?
A. Most probably it will get the upgrade simply because it is samsung's "most wanted phone" around and it's hardware too is pretty much better than any other model currently in their line up. Maybe the newer s2's like the skyrocket hd will only get the upgrade and not the "older" s2's. It's hard to tell though, simply because android upgrades are so unpredictable, like the hardware may be compatible but the manufacturer doesn't give the update like in the case of the sony xperia x10 or the hardware becomes old as it always does. I heard that the ICS is to be given only to dual core phones or something like that, so maybe the android 5 will only be for quad core phones......So only time will tell.

Best AT&T Android phone?
Q. I'm getting a new phone in a couple of weeks and I want a high end Android phone (iPhone is a slight possibility). I am a heavy web user, a text a decent amount, and I'll play games if they're good (minecraft ftmw).
Musts are good battery life, large internal memory, CPU, display and software support (meaning it should be upgradable to android 4.0 and maybe 5.0).
Wants are white color (I'm gonna get a custom skin/case anyways so no big deal) and ability to remove AT&T shitware.
Here are my choices.
HTC Vivid: It looks cool, has a decent camera and it's actually affordable. The only problems are the CPU isn't THAT great (HTCs+Snapdragons=Not too good) and the battery life is shit (typical of HTC phones, although it may not be a big deal)
Samsung Galaxy S II (both versions). Both are good (i prefer the regular version because of the exnyos cpu but the skyrocket is in white and has LTE) but Samsung sometimes doesn't update their phones (Samsung Galaxy S variants) and they're kind of cheap looking. The displays are cool also.
Motorola Atrix 2. I LOVE motorolas since they have great build quality and hardware but i feel that it won't get updated. Still this is a great phone and GREAT PRICE.
LG Nitro: Probably not, but I do like the HD display but LG's track record with their updates isn't good despite being the first company with dual core phones and 3d phones.
Any others would be nice.
A. Galaxy S2 phone is $599.00 awesome. As far as appearance goes, it's *thin.* Like, 8.49 mm thin. Much thinner than the iPhone 3G that I owned previously. Although it's thin, the curved sides allow for easy gripping. The casing itself is plastic, so it feels cheaper than other all-aluminum phones, but its absolute thinness prevents if from feeling cheap. It's a classy phone.
