Q. I'm getting a android smartphone for Christmas and I have ebooks that I have on my laptop since I downloaded the nook and kindle apps on it. I was wondering if I can transfer my ebooks that I have on my laptop to my phone and if there is a free android app on the phone or online that I can download. (I read actual books more than ebooks I just want the ebooks on my phone so I have something to read in between regular books or I forgot to pack a book to take with me.)
A. Of course you can.
1. Download and install Kindle for android and Nook for android app on your android phone.
2. Register with your Aamzon account and Nook account. Your books will be automatically synced to your phone.
3. Run the app and tap one book to read.
Are there any versions of Switched On Schoolhouse for the kindle?
Q. I don't know if it would even be possible because it isn't just reading material, it is all the questions too.(But I heard that one of the newest Kindles has apps on it so...) Has anyone heard of anything like this? Maybe for a NOOK? I do SOS for school, but my eyes hurt after a couple of hours reading on the monitor so I want it on a Kindle. Any info would be awesome! Thanks!
A. Sorry, at present there SOS cannot be done on a Kindle or a Nook because it is windows based.
It wouldn't surprise me if that wasn't a future endeavor, but simply not a possibility at this time. My guess is when Alpha Omega makes a kindle compatible product it will be Monarch, not SOS. Monarch is their online curriculum while SOS must be downloaded into windows on your computer.
Have you ever tried to print your lessons, read the material then answer the questions on your computer? You would have to ask Mom/Dad to print the lesson, since Students only have printing capability in Review mode AFTER they have completed a lesson. I will occasionally print a long lesson for my children as needed/requested
Can someone tell me how to play Castleville on a Kindle Fire please?
Q. As far as I know, there are no Kindle Fire Apps for Zynga games but I've heard and read from multiple sources that you can play them on the Kindle Fire (which runs Android I believe)... just have no idea how to...lol..
Any help for a not-so-techie Kindle Fire owner?
Thank you so much.
A. find Kindle Fire Apps on the support page amazon.com, if you can find anything there , then call customer support.
