A. It doesn't sound it'll drop in price, the iPad has its own pricing cycle. iPhone and iPad mini are quite different from the large screen iPad, and they are into different market. From the past experience, price of iPad will only drop when new iPad models are released, but not because of any new iPhone released. Same will apply for iPad Mini, it's just in different market from iPad.

A. They will most likely sell for $100 less than their iPad 3 counterparts. That's what happened with the iPad and the iPad 2.

A. In my family we have the ipad 2 and 3. What is best about the ipad 3 is the size of the screen. What is best about the ipad mini is that it houses the latest generation processor. Unless you are a computer guru that will maximize the added horsepower the difference between the 3 and the mini is nil. I would say that is the bottom line between the two. In ether case you will enjoy it immensely.
