Q. So just got a Samsung Galaxy S III (absolutely beautiful phone!) and an extended battery. The battery (Q-Cell i9300 Li-on) and it says on the box to "Please charge 9 hrs before initial use". I have no idea how we are supposed to charge the battery w/out using the phone. I'm guessing this means to put the phone on a charger for 9 hrs before pulling it off charger which is fine. I am just a little confused on this and you help would be very appreciated.
A. You would have to put the battery in the phone, then plug the phone into a charger that is also plugged into a known good power plug. Leave the phone turned off, it will charge whether it is powered up or not.

Q. I'm 16 and I've never had a cell phone before, but now since I've finally decided I want one, I have NO idea which one I should get! I prefer PC over mac so I'd rather want something like a Blackberry over an Iphone, because I'd like to text with a keyboard on the phone instead of touch screen... but a few of my friends have the Blackberry curve and they say they're experiencing problems with it where the battery is 100%, and then they don't use if for about 2 hours, and then all of a sudden when they try using it, it says the batteries dead! wtf:/ so I guess no Blackberry.
If I had a phone, I'd want to be able to text, go on the internet, obviously call, and also listen to music which will be downloaded into it.. which phone is right for me then?? Please give me the specific model of it too!
and is samsung galaxy s3 really that worth getting??? I don't know anything about plans either so if someone could explain that to me I'd really be grateful because some samsung galaxy s3's are like $30 and others are like $500... why??????! I live in Canada btw if that helps at all. THanks!
A. To meet your needs, I think some of the best phones are the Motorola Photon Q (slide out qwerty) and the Blackberry Q10 (non-slide qwerty). Both are smartphones, one running BB10, the other Android 4.0.4, which means both can browse the internet, make calls and listen to music. The BB OS is mainly gesture based (sliding up to get to homescreen, etc.) while Android is more tap-friendly. The specs are pretty similar, but the Q10 in my opinion is a bit small.

samsung galaxy 10.1 tab charging issues?
Q. Hi I am having problems with my samsung galaxy tab 10.1 not charging, I only have the usb wall socket charger I have misplaced the original packaging with the wall charger. ( I bought this in usa).
At present my tab seems to just keep re-booting on the usb charger - yellow battery half filling then closing down - over and over - any ideas what I can do to fix this problem?
A. Based on what I am reading in this link it sounds as if a usb charger will do the job just fine for your needs.
