Q. I have a Kindle DX that I got in February, and I like it. But I hate not being able not to tell what page I am on. How do I make it show them?
A. The page number feature began with Kindle Software Update Version 3.1. Unfortunately, the Kindle DX is not capable of running Kindle Software Update Version 3.1 and so cannot show real page numbers.
For Kindle 3 owners, make sure you have the update:
"From Home, select Menu, then Settings. On the Settings screen you will see the Kindle version at the bottom of the screen." http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200529700
Also, realize that the page display feature depends on the ebook:
"Not all Kindle books include page numbers. Kindle books that include page numbers will list "Page Numbers Source ISBN (the print book identification number)" for the matching print edition under "Product Details" on the detail page at Amazon.com. If the Page Numbers Source ISBN (the print book identification number)" listed under "Product Details" on the product detail page is the same edition as your print book, the Kindle page numbers will match the page numbers in the printed edition." http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_k3softwareupdate_pages?nodeId=200505500&#pages
Is there a wireless or Bluetooth keyboard for kindle fire hd?
Q. I have a kindle fire hd. Is there any Bluetooth or wireless keyboard for it? And hopefully cheap as possible.
Thank you Uncle Pennybags. I looked at it. I saw a usb cord that plugged in the ipad. My kindle fire uses mini usb plugin. So is there any that uses mini usb?
Are you supposed to plug in the keyboard to install it?
A. The Kindle Fire HD can work with a Bluetooth keyboard. There is not any specifically designed for the Kindle Fire HD, but there are many out there that can be used with it.
Just shop anywhere online for Bluetooth keyboard. I've linked to a cheap one.
UPDATE: I've not been able to find anything about the Kindle Fire HD taking a wired keyboard via USB. The info on the Kindle Fire HD says it can take a Bluetooth keyboard, but nothing about a wired keyboard.
What are the pros and cons of a Kindle?
Q. What are the pro and cons of a Kindle? Does it read PDF? Is the quality good? What other reading electronic would you recommend?
A. I love my Kindle 2 very much. If you're thinking about getting the Kindle, I'll say get it and you won't regret. Right now I've read over 10 books with the Kindle, and I really like the idea that I can bring and store all the books with the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, it is really clear like reading books; and even I read with the device for long hours, I don't feel tired. The internet browsing comes handy as well when I want to look for information on some specific area. My only complaint is the white case, right now all the Kindles are in white color... I think it will be cool if I can have a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)
Yes, the Kindle can read PDF well, especially after its recent update:

Kindle books are cheaper than hard copies. I suggest you to read this review from a top reviewer who is also a book lover, it outlines quite a lot of benefits of the Kindle and also why it is worth especially at the end of the review:

And there are some websites, where you can find more than a million of free books for the Kindle, so that's why you no longer need to get to library, you can actually own these books:

If you need to read PDF with charts and graphics, you may want to go for the Kindle DX (the new Kindle DX Graphite version is now at cheaper price and with better contrast). Read this review and you should be able to decide which one to get:

Hope this helps.
