A. 1) depends the associate you work with they may disable the feature for you, as a rule they don't.
or if you can get into your account and do it your self, some times they have that feature of
upgrading your phone but allowing to input the info yourself.
2) you will still pay the activation fee of $35, even they may say they wont charge for it it may pear on your bill.
3) even if it says t-mobile, it may be even flashed before so perhaps you'll be in luck and it can be use as phone/text
