Q. I really want to get unlocked samsung galaxy note phone and use it for t-mobile i am not sure if the internet will work on that phone when putting sim card. Will the Internet work for that phone with t-mobile i would really like to know.
A. yes, it should.. since both ATT and Tmobile are GSM and use teh same frequencies.. but some Tmobile towers uses the 1700 band for 3G, which is NOT picked up by any ATT phone... so, you may have 2G data in some areas.. its slower than 3G, but at least you still have data connections
Can I buy the European version of the Samsung Galaxy TAB to work on verizon?
Q. I was searching the other day for a new Smart Phone and I want and need something with a bigger screen (Bad eyes) and stumbled across the Samsung Galaxy TAB but it appears they do not let you simply make phone calls unless over VOiP but the European models do. I dont mind holding a 7" screen to my face to talk on the phone. Anyone already done this?
A. Europe uses GSM technology (like AT&T, T-mobile), while Verizon uses CDMA, which doesn't use a sim card like the GSM technology. You could not use a European Galaxy tab on Verizon, but there is a chance that you could modify it to work on one of the GSM networks. (no guarentees though). You will probably have to do a lot of searching in the android tablet forums for help finding out if this is possible. Also, the European ones cost up to twice as much as here, although hopefully the price will start to go down as the newer android os is introduced and more tablets come out. Personally, I wish they had left the calling intact here in the US too.
Can I unlock a T-Mobile Galaxy s3 to Work with sprint Service?
Q. I am planning to buy a Samsung Galaxy s3 off my friend, but his carrier is T-Mobile and I have Sprint. Though I currently have the iPhone 4s with a Sprint Micro Sim, so if I am able to unlock it to Sprint will I be able to use the Micro Sim currently in use with my iPhone 4s? Please any help would be appreciated, thank you!
A. T-mobile supports GSM network but Sprint supports CDMA.If your friends galaxy supports both GSM & CDMA where you can unlock & use it with Sprint.
Before unlocking youalso have to check whether the phone supports micro sim or mini sim. If it supports micro sim you can use it obviously or if the slot is for mini sim,then contact Sprint and ask for a mini sim for your number and use it.
