Q. I'm getting an iPad in a couple weeks and i was wondering what the difference is between the first iPad and the iPad 2. Because obviously the second one is more expensive and i'd rather get the first one. But i don't mind spending more money if it's a lot better.
A. Lots of diffrences:
- camera on the front/back
- LOT thinner and lighter
- better graphics (A5 quad core processor)
- All games work on the iPad 2 that can't work on the iPad 1
- Facetime
- better battery
How long will it take until the iPad 2 price will drop? And how much will it drop?
Q. 500$ sounds a little too much for me so i was wondering how much the basic 16gb ipad 2 with wifi will cost later on.
A. Apple had an online sale during Christmas. iPads and iPods went down around $50 and the MacBooks went down around $100. Other than that, it will stay the same. Sometimes, Walmart offers products a little cheaper and sometimes has a program where if you buy the product, they will send you a gift card. Also, buying from Target with a Target RedCard credit card (what I did) saves you 5%. If you are absolutely desperate, you can get an iPad 1, 16gb refurbished for $329 from the Apple store. Or you can always wait until iPad 2's become available in the refurbished section. Go to store.apple.com and scroll to the bottom. Then click "refurbished iPad".

How long does it take for the ipad 2 battery to go down 1 percent?
Q. I got my ipad 2 about 2 weeks ago. I dont have the time to test if it runs for 10 hours but i sense that the ipad battery should last a little longer than wat ive seen. So how long does it take for the battery to go down 1 percent (for example starts at 45% and then goes to 44%). Im guessing it goes down about every five minutes on mines. (i use internet usually (wifi))
A. In my own experience, the iPad 2's battery went down about 1% for every 5 minutes of use. That turns out to be 8.3 hours of battery life for the entire thing. I tested this while using GarageBand and multitasking a few apps like Safari, Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and many others.
