Q. I have had my Samsung Galaxy Ace for quite some time now but it was only recently that I heard about the Swype Keyboard feature which I want to try out. However that feature does not appear as an option when I tap and hold the text field. I could not find it either in Settings > Language & keyboard. Need your help guys.
A. You may not have the Swype keyboard installed on your device. Use the web browser on your phone and go to the following web page to install it.
http://www.swype.com/category/get-swype/
It will download and install to your Android phone and then it will show up in the settings.
Apps to download to get a bigger touchscreen keyboard?
Q. I have the Samsung Galaxy Europa and the keyboard onscreen isn't easy to text quickly on.
Any ideas of apps i could download to make it easier to use?
A. 1. MessagEase- Although it is really hard to learn, I heard that it can really help you type quickly once you have learnt it, and the keys are bigger than those on the QWERTY keyboard too.
2. WiFi keyboard- Highly recommended. You type on your PC, but the words appear on your phone instead.
Hope it helps :-).
Oh, and one more: Swype BETA. You slide each word instead of tapping on the screen for each letter, making it more accurate and fast even for a phone with a small screen. You can download it by signing up for the Beta at: beta.swype.com/android/create/
