Q. I have a Samsung Galaxy S i9000 running Android 2.2.1 and Darky's rom 9.2 which also means that the phone is rooted. I use it a lot for work and i usually make long days (7:45am - 11:00pm) but I'm always out of battery way before i go home. So my question is: how can i expand my phones battery life?

Hi i have this phone, i used to have this problem with it aswell, id go to work and by maybe say 4 o clock it would completely run out, what i did was install this app from the market, its called advanced task killer, basicly what this does is kill all the apps which are running in the background,( which you cant see), belive it or not, background tasks waste 47% of the battery!, also, do you have a live wallpaper? if u do id take that of, that wastes alot, and i mean alot of battery, also try and not play alot of apps aswell as that wastes alot of battery,

A. Hi.Because of the cracked screen the price of the phone is worth less value.Try putting an offer up for $170 OR you could mention in your add phone goes to best offer. Then which ever person comes out with the highest amount of money,sell it to that person.

My Samsung Galaxy S i9000 wont connect to my laptop when i plug it into the laptop using its USB chord. Do any of yous know of a program i can download FREE to my laptop that will enable my phone to connect to it.

A. You don't say what you are trying to do when you plug the phone in. Just plug the phone in and you should see that it is now charging.
If you want to move music/ images to or from the phone, do this --
First you need to set-up the S to allow you to "drag 'n drop" using Windows explorer or My Computer.
Here's how..
From "Applications"--> SETTINGS--> scroll to bottom of list -->ABOUT PHONE --> USB SETTINGS
and touch MASS STORAGE
Now plug the phone into PC/laptop with the supplied USB lead, the USB symbol will then appear on the phone screen, top left.
Touch the symbol and a grey flap will appear along the top of the screen, slide the flap down the screen and touch the USB CONNECTED box
Touch MOUNT on the dialogue box which appears.
Now go to your laptop and open Windows Explorer ("Windows Key" plus "E")
The phone should show in the left pane as a new drive letter.
If you have a memory card inserted, it will also show as a new drive letter.
Your photos will normally be in the DCIM folder or the SD folder.
