Q. I have the newest iPad with the lightning bolt charger and I want to hook it up to a projector I have a apple cord that is the 30 pin charger on one end and the three pronged on the other end (red, white and yellow) and then I have a apple converter that changes the 30 pin charger into a lightning bolt charger. When I plug the cord and converter into my iPad and the projector and try to play a movie nothing happens, it plays on my iPad, but when i take off the converter and plug it into my iPhone 4S I can make my videos and slideshow it plays through the projector. I have tested the converter from 30 pin to lightning bolt and it works for charging and plugging into computers. That's not the only thing though, I want my home screen to come up on the projector so I can show my project. Is this possible? Is there an app for that or something? Also my projector isn't apple.
A. You would need this: http://store.apple.com/ca/product/MD826ZM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter
What are some good applications for an iPad for use in a high school English classroom?
Q. I'm "trial running" an iPad for use in a middle/high school English/Language Arts classroom, and have about 8 days left to find and write about some good uses for it to specifically be used in these classrooms. Just one unit, not a classroom set or anything. Anybody have any suggestions?
A. Here are some links to check out

Be sure and check out eClicker, the automated response system, Dragon Dictation, and iGoogle. It all depend on the standards you teach, but these are helpful, general tools to use.
You will definitely want Keynote app so you can connect to a projector and develop animated power points. Pages is another must have for word processing.
Good luck!
What practical use does the Ipad have that can't be found on other Apple devices?
Q. When I looked at the Ipad it seems that a lot of the things that the Ipad could do could also be done on the Ipod touch or Iphone. So is there anything the Ipad can do that an ipod touch can't do?
A. On iPad you watch Netflix movies
On iPad , you watch TV shows legally for free
You can download video from any website
One app on iPad can access the content from other apps.
You can save eMail attachment to multiple apps on iPad.
USB based and Blutooth enabled both keyboards can be connected to iPad.
Camera can be connected directly to iPad
Camera connection kit also has a dongle that reads SD memory card that's means you can import photos and videos from a memory card directly to iPad.
Professional grade word document, spreadsheet and presentation can be created on iPad. And to show the presentation, you can directly connect it to projector.
Screen of iPad can be split into two or three parts to do multiple tasks at the same time with App "Radio" playing at the background.
On iPod touch only few apps and video playing on Safari ( only native) support TV out but on iPad, you can use TV out even for browsing the web and watching Netflix movies. If you have downloaded a movie from a website and stor in app GoodReader, you can watch the movie on TV.
On iPad ,you can edit the playlist in iPod section.
iPad can play HD video also.
If somebody is ignorant that doesn't mean iPad is same as iPod Touch. All the features that I listed above are personally tested by me.
2 Million iPad sold in just 29 days in US only it's one of the most successful devices we have seen in long time.
If these differences don't make much difference in some people's way of thinking then they are those who can't see any reason to pay such a hefty price for Audi when they can commute even on Hyundai.
If 42" HD TV is just a bigger TV and you don't see any difference between SD and HD, then iPad is not for you.
