Q. I was wondering if you can disable the swype feature on the samsung galaxy s2 texting keyboard? It might be hard for me to get used to that so I was wondering if you can disable it or change it in any way. Thanks!
A. While in the texting field, pull down the notification bar. From there you can change the keyboard settings, including adding or removing keyboard~
How do I switch to Swype Keyboard in my Samsung Galaxy Ace?
Q. I have had my Samsung Galaxy Ace for quite some time now but it was only recently that I heard about the Swype Keyboard feature which I want to try out. However that feature does not appear as an option when I tap and hold the text field. I could not find it either in Settings > Language & keyboard. Need your help guys.
A. You may not have the Swype keyboard installed on your device. Use the web browser on your phone and go to the following web page to install it.
http://www.swype.com/category/get-swype/
It will download and install to your Android phone and then it will show up in the settings.
What are good phones similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note but smaller?
Q. I'm interested in getting a phone similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note but not quite as big. I like the usage of the pen, being able to write and draw more than using a keyboard and some of the other 'tablet' like features. I like to play a few games and browse the Internet but I'm not a big gamer or downloader so they're not as important. It doesn't have to be a tiny little phone either, just not five and a half inches.
I honestly don't know a lot about phones, my current one is an iPhone 3GS which has seen better days. Any help would be awesome, thanks. :3
A. Galaxy Note is only one that comes with pen. If you really want to have pen for other phones, you should get a stylus for it yourself.
The Galaxy Note first model is 5.3", and the second is 5.55". I don't think they'll make it smaller, if not bigger, for the third model.
For smaller phone, I think you can consider the Galaxy S Mini. It's quite popular as a smaller screen phone. It's a fraction of price as compared to those Samsung phones with larger screen, and it keeps some pretty good features. Here's a good comprehensive review on features you have on the phone:
