Q. I just updated my iPad and some apps and a few other things were deleted. My email account settings disappeared as well. How to update your iPad without deleting anything?
A. Connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases to your computer's iTunes via
File > Transfer Purchases.
You should also backup the device (right-click the iPad 'device' and select 'back up'), and copy off any important documents, file, notes etc (e.g. by email, the file sharing section at the bottom of the Apps tab in iTunes, wifi, whatever the apps that you use support) - the update process should backup and restore the content but it's best to be safe and try and minimise any data/content loss if the update doesn't go smoothly.
How to use iPad Mini as a graphic tablet for free of charge?
Q. I want to use my iPad Mini as a replacement for a graphic tablet. Is there a way to do that for free?
A. You can, but be aware that the iPad mini does not have pressure sensitivity. In most apps you'll be painting on one layer, or not many. The apps cost money, and you'll have to do extensive research on which ones are best for your stylus. I heard the pogo stylus is really good, but if I wanted a graphics tablet I'd get a Wacom bamboo tablet. They're about $80-120 and really good.

How to tell the difference between an iPad 2 and an iPad 3?
Q. I'm looking to buy an iPad 3 off of craigslist and don't want to be cheated and receive an iPad 2. How can I make sure I am getting the new iPad vs the iPad 2?
A. On iPad, go to settings>general>about>serial number
Now go to the Apple website>repairs and services>enter your serial number
This will tell you information (model, warranty.....) about your ipad/iphone, ipod etc
