Q. I just got Samsung galaxy xcover and the battery ends in a day... To load ii back to 100% takes a while and im not going to be able to load it full before school because I hate to wake up early... But if Id had it loading over night, it would be full once I wake up. But im afraid to ruin the battery so it would last like half a day... So is it too bad to have it loading over night?
A. Yes, just keep it plugged in and charging while it loads over night. That way everything will be completed and you'll still have a full charge.
Which of the following budget phones would you recommend?
Q. I'm looking for a budget phone with loud speakers, which is good for internet browsing, watching youtube videos and has a decent camera with autofocus and good reception. I would also like it to be resistant.
I'd like to hear from people who have personal experience with the following phones:
Nokia Lumia 610
Samsung Galaxy Ace
ZTE Blade (San Francisco)
Samsung Galaxy Xcover S5690
Thanks!
A. I have a Galaxy S2. Most phone carriers have this phone except for Verizon because they have the Galaxy Nexus. The Galaxy S2 you can get for cheap or maybe even free. Here is some of the specs on the phone that I can remember....
The Galaxy S2 has a 4.5 inch screen. A 1.2 GHz dual core processor, a great camera 8 megapixel and features for the camera, 1.2 megapixel rear camera, a decent battery 1800 mA battery but you can get an aftermarket 3100mA battery on Ebay, talk to text, swipe technology, s voice, wifi, 4G, and ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Samsung is coming out with jelly bean for this phone. I have no problems with games or surfing the web. Matter fact I'm answer your question on my phone. I hope this helps you.
Do games lag on Samsung Galaxy Xcover and if they do, how can i fix the lag?
Q. Games like Angry birds, Fruit ninja or Minecraft... Just ordered it
A. Hi Nick:
Since you are relatively new here on Y!A, you might not have noticed that you posted this Question in the "Camcorders" Category, when it would get better coverage in either "Cell Phones & Plans", "PDAs & Handhelds", or "Games & Gear".
But, just from personal experience, the newest Smartphones and Tablets have dedicated graphics processors to handle video and game-screen tasks, so you shouldn't have a problem. (I use a Kindle Fire to play "Angry Birds", and there's no visible lag.)
Of course, Angry Birds is a single-player game, and doesn't rely on network interfaces as would the multi-player versions of Fruit Ninja or Minecraft. I'd test the multi-player experience for any sluggishness, or else stick with the single-player versions.
As far as doing anything about any lag you experience after you receive your Galaxy model, unlike a PC or laptop, you can't "upgrade" the basic hardware of a handheld phone or tablet. You are also at the mercy of your 3G service provider or the speed of your WiFi hub. This is why you should either "try before you buy" or do better "review" research of others' experience with that model.
hope this helps,
