A. No, smaller electronics including tablets do not have to be placed in a separate bin at the security checkpoint. I travel often with a tablet and laptop and only does the laptop have to be x-rayed separately. The tablet stays in my carry on bag.

A. There are special bags available for laptops. If you get one then you don't have to take laptop out .You can leave iPad in bag , you don't need to take it out.

Q. I am planning on getting an iPad soon because they are just too cool, anyway I do go to London every now and then, quite a few times a year as I live an hour away, anyway I know there are pickpockets on the tube... Trust me, but I wouldnt think it is to easy to slip out an iPad and hide it without anyone noticing, also. Do you have any tips or what to put it in.

A. Many people use iPads on the tube. Put it away in a bag, I've lived in London for over 10 years and have never know anyone to have ever had their pocket picked on the tube.
